  • Gorgeous Quality and Results
Color: Aluminum
Finding reliable heat-resistant paint for my engine valve covers proved to be a challenge! Many had mixed reviews. Thankfully, my search concluded with Dupli-Color. I paired this Aluminum color with their Clear Coat as added protection: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B000GKEXW0/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 They say most of painting is prep work, and they ain't wrong. I carefully removed oil grime letting the covers soak in degreaser, followed by scrubbing, and spray-down with brake cleaner. I wiped the surfaces with isopropyl alcohol until the towel came away clean. With a sweeping motion I then hit the covers with a heat gun on low until they were no longer cold to the touch, since it was winter when I performed this detailing job. A warm paint can doesn't hurt, either. I carefully followed the instructions on the label, which summarize: Lay down all coats 10 minutes apart, two light coats followed by a wet coat. I did the exact same with the clear coat. All coats must be done within 1 hour. One helpful tip, life is loads easier with this spray gun attachment for rattle cans: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B0015RJ41I/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 While directions state the painted object can be handled in 3 hours, I was only able to wait an hour with the setting sun. I was worried everything would come off with handling, wires, and vacuum lines in the way, destroying my perfect job. I was surprised when this paint held beautifully, none came off during reassembly and I'm pleased with the results (see photos)! I'm two steps closer to that pristine truck engine bay. • Perfect turquoise color
Color: Torque 'N' Teal
We just bought a Vintage Nomad camper. We've been remodeling the interior it's original colors were just awful. Yellows/Browns/Orange blah! Since the appliances are nearly impossible to replace I thought we'd give this a try. The Turquoise color is perfect and 1 can was enough to cover everything with 2 coats. Fridge ...Stove top ...oven door ...heater grill. I'll definitely be finding another reason to use this paint. Would recommend to a friend. *I've thrown in a before picture at the end <3 ... show more

  • For Artwork Purposes: Not good when in contact with cold water
If you are using this for art projects, please note that it is heat resistant BUT not water resistant. If you coat a coaster or tile with this to protect your art project, the look is excellent and it is heat resistant. However, any cold water that sits on it will disintegrate the coating and demolish the artwork. ... show more

  • WAY BETTER THAN RUSTO**** read my tips
Wide fan spray makes painting large objects super easy. But as with coompetitor's brand, it WILL wrinkle when you apply additional coats if you wait longer than an hour, particularly in the dry heat so set a timer and get it all on just after the previous coat flash dries usually about 5 or 10 minutes depending on conditions. And keep the nozzle no closer then 12", apply light coats, first coat should just be a spit coat, or you WILL get a run and enamels take at least 30 days to fully cure regardless of what it says on the can. If you wet sand a boo boo you will again need to wait at least a few days for the feathered edges to cure. :) ... show more

  • Love this paint for everything! Calipers done in yellow.
Color: Daytona Yellow
This engine enamel alone is such a great product! I use the paint for several different projects around the car to include the brake calipers. I know they make a caliper paint however it doesn't always come in your color, so thankfully we have this stuff available. It's a great product under the hood for sure but as you see in the pictures I used the yellow enamel to help accent the aftermarket wheels on the BMW. ... show more

  • LOVE IT
Color: Gloss Black
I used this on my motorcycle. I sprayed on my engine cover, wheels, and other metal parts and it looks great. Keep in mind tough that Ceramic Engine paint needs heat to cure the paint so if you are going to spray things besides the engine you might want to research if heating the metal up with a heatgun would be beneficial to insure long lasting paint job. ... show more

  • Universal White Issues
Color: Universal White
First off, this review is for "Universal White Engine Paint" only. I have had great success with Duplicolor's other paints. Ordered two cans of this paint for a motorcycle gas tank project. Used Duplicolor primer with no issue, but when I went to put on the white paint, it splattered all over the tank. I thought the nozzle might be blocked, so I cleaned it out with a wire and proceeded to try again. Same thing happened. I tried the second can I purchased and it wouldn't even spray out any paint. I brought the issue to Amazon and the decided to send me two new cans of paint. Both cans continuously splattered paint each time they were used. The paint also looked very thin and watery. This is after shaking both cans for well over two minutes, spraying onto another surface to try to clear and blockage, and cleaning out the nozzle. Once again, I have had great success with Duplicolors other paints. ... show more
