I bought this scale to replace exactly this model (earlier version - but just about identical) that I purchased YEARS ago. (I think the first one lasted, may 12 years. I got it WAY too wet last time I used it and I think that I did it in!) GREAT little kitchen scale. I can & freeze heavy amounts of garden produce, I have surely weighed thousand of packages for the freezer. I've also used it TONS to weigh ingredients in special cakes & desserts, as well as breads that I make. I even use it to weigh packages for mailing. Just a great little scale! Simple to use, it scrolls through various unit choices. You can also zero out package weigh, so that you get exactly the weight of the product inside only. Goes up to 11 pounds, I believe. I ordered this scale forgetting that I had bought this brand years ago. It worked for 2 days. When you turn it on the scale keeps displaying different weights even when nothing is on it. When you put something on it, it will give you 6 different weights, spanning several grams, and keeps changing and never settles on a weight. I put a different set of batteries in and got the same thing. Junk. There are scales that cost half as much that hold up for years. ... show more

I've been using this scale weekly because I bake both bread and macarons - which are both baked by measured grams. After losing 2 feet in the last 2 years (they simply came off), the scale finally died an erratic death yesterday. Wouldn't tare out, replaced batteries and it would still continue to add grams and wouldn't tare out. Also would not measure accurately, the numbers kept changing. It was never exposed to liquids, worked dependably until it went crazy. At first I was upset, but then looking in my history I see I bought it in February, 2011. So in this day and age of built in obsolesce, not too bad! It was a trusted friend in the kitchen, although now I've learned to get something with a greater capacity. But I did appreciate that it was dependable for so long. Of course the price on these are half the price they used to be, but nevertheless I would highly recommend this scale. It was a good friend.     • A very reliable scale, works great and inexpensive!

I now own two of these scales, one purchased three years ago and one in 2017. They both work fine, they both show the same weight when compared together which leads me to conclude that this scale maintains it's accuracy over time. I have used the first one mostly for weighing ingredients for bread making. The tare feature lets me re-zero the scale between additions of ingredients which makes it possible to use just one container to assemble my dough. I bought the second scale to use as a postal scale for packages I am selling on eBay. One useful feature I have discovered is to use the tare feature to weigh larger packages that obscure the readout display. I turn the scale off and then set the package on the scale. I then turn the scale on and the scale Is tared to zero. When I remove the package from the scale, it shows the weight as a negative value, but the weight nevertheless. I have verified this to be true with small items where I have weighed them both ways. I don't know if the manufacturer intended the scale to be used this way but, if so, they should include a description of this method in their instructions as a choice. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Completely useless, as you can see from the video. I hoped perhaps it was just a defective item, but the replacement scale did the exact same thing right out of the box. I called the company and they didn't do anything, they said to deal with it via Amazon. I've sent both back to Amazon and now I have to wait 7+ days for my refund. Waste of money, waste of time, I won't be buying this brand again ... show more

I had ordered a scale with the same model number several years ago, which is a great scale. I also used the "reorder this item feature" when I ordered. The scale that I ordered the other day shows a picture of the one that I had ordered several years ago, but the one I received is different. It is much smaller and is of very poor quality. It seems to have plastic stickers on the buttons. The one that I ordered cost more than the one that I received. I did not mind paying more as I wanted one like the one that I had purchased previously. I figured it cost more because it was the older model.
