Description

Channels sweat away from your eyes Colors: Frost, Smoke, and Hydro Ditch Those Soggy SweatbandsAnyone who has ever caught an eye full of sweat knows that it’s painful, impedes performance, and is potentially dangerous. You’ve tried traditional sweatbands, so called “high-performance” headbands, bandannas and the like. They all got soaked, stop working, and let sweat to drip in your eyes and on your glasses. There has to be a better solution.Reinventing the SweatbandAbsorbing sweat with fabric is pointless. Saturation and failure is just a matter of time. The thought of a rain gutter led to an idea. Could that basic technology work for a sweatband? Why absorb sweat when you can simply redirect it? Countless prototypes later, a different kind of sweatband was created—one that uses a channel to keep sweat away from your eyes and never saturates. It’s called the Sweat GUTR.The Sweatband That Never SaturatesThe Sweat GUTR is the only sweatband designed to withstand any amount of sweat. Because it’s not made from fabric, it never stops working. It blends the efficiency of a rain gutter within an ultra-comfortable sweatband system. The soft plastic gently adheres to your forehead without feeling tacky. The elastic and Velcro closure system adjusts easily for a perfect fit. It’s so lightweight and comfortable that you’ll forget it’s there. The low profile design allows for the maximum amount of air circulation, minimizing your chances of overheating. It fits comfortably with most helmets and does not interfere with glasses. With the help of customer feedback, the sweat channel has been lengthened for improved eye clearance. Sweat GUTR is completely resistant to sweat, so washing is not required—just rinse and go. This is The Ultimate Sweatband.Never QuitGUTR continuously explores new ways to use and improve GUTR Technology. Like you, GUTR believes in products that work better and never give up.Benefits and Technical InformationNever saturates—no more soggy sweatbandsChannels sweat away from eyes and glassesElastic and Velcro comfort closure system for exact sizingSleek, low profile design for maximum air flowWorks great with most helmets and headwearImproved, longer sweat channel at 7 3/4”Extremely lightweight at 0.8 ozEasy care—just rinse and goOne-size-fits-all

  • For Bald People, An Absolute Must Have!
Color: Smoke
I never realized how much of a problem sweat was for bald people. I still recommend this for people with hair, but you may not have as much of a need for it as I did. The band works as advertised. Some people complained about the sweat build-up, and eventually coming out of the collection gutter, but for me, it always ran off the sides as intended, and not onto my face. It was oddly satisfying feeling it finally release down the side and not into my eyeballs. The band is comfortable, and sits on my forhead wherever I need it too without adjusting the size at all. The only drawback I experienced was that quite simply, it's additional headwear. This is an FYI to the customer, not a drawback of the band itself. For me though, using it to mountain bike, it is competing with my bike helmet, headphones, and glasses. It is however a pivotal piece and I will not work-out or do any sweat inducing activity without my GUTR band going forward. The value it brings for the price is shocking. I would recommend this to anyone that sweats. ... show more

  • It works pretty well, unless you've got a big head lol
Color: Smoke
Dont look down. The gutters protecting the sweat from running into your eyes only protect about half an inch lateral to each eye. If you look down, the sweat will loop around and drain into your eyes.

  • Keeps sweat out of your eyes...mostly
Color: Smoke
The GUTR is a really well designed and implemented headband for keeping your head sweat from running down your face and into your eyes during intense exercise. It does this really well, but it also comes with a tradeoff - because it is a rubber gutter, in essence, it does not absorb any of the water at all, it just channels it away to the side of your face. This is fine as it doesn't interfere with vision, but it can produce a pretty formidable sweatstream in the midst of activity. Occasionally the sweat will build up in the gutter, too, and spill over and that can go into your eyes. It's rare, but can happen. Overall, I am happy with the fit, feel, function, and value of this piece. I also use more conventional sweatbands at other times, but this is my go-to in warm weather for cycling, and also indoors on the trainer. Highly recommended! ... show more

  • Big improvement over a sweat band, with some opportunities for improvement
Color: Frost
I'm a runner, and this Gutr works far better than a sweat band, which quickly saturates and loses usefulness after 20 minutes. There's no saturation to worry about with the Gutr. Much better than carrying a half-dozen sweat bands to swap out every 15 minutes. The version I received does not match the photos; I suspect this is v2. Where the first version has velcro and an O-ring, mine has an adjustable elastic strap (as seen on the Gutr website). I have a medium-size head (think of a typical strap-back trucker hat: mine has all the pegs lined up with all the holes) and I have to have this head band at near its maximum size. So if you have a huge head, this might not fit without some modifications. The trick is to get it to juuust big enough to hold the gutter part flush against your forehead so that it can catch all the sweat, but no tighter as that might give you a headache once the blood is pumping. I'm a little worried that the elastic strap may wear out before the rest of it. But it's still early, so we'll see. While it seemed to prevent any sweat from my forehead getting into my eyes or glasses, it of course can't do anything about eyebrow sweat. Still, a ~90% reduction of sweat to worry about is a win! I think for v3, it would be nice if there was an extra inch on either side of the gutter, so that the ends don't empty over the edge of the eye sockets and instead empty further back to the temples. Not that it seemed to be too much of a problem. All-in-all, very good; would recommend! ... show more

  • still get sweat in your eyes
Color: Smoke
this helps but for those who furrow there brows when they run. it's terrible. I frown allot when i run, also notice having a big head sucks. the 'guter' system thins and flattens when its towards the center of your head. this means the amount of sweat that drops into it will pool out of it and not out of the sides. at first this works, i feel the sweat drippings and hitting my temples and down the side of my neck. its annoying but better than having to take off my glasses and wiping my face with sweaty shirt or hands. but i can tell this head ban will flatten in time and i have been getting larger amount of sweat falling off the headband and onto my glasses. this, defeats the purpose of having it entirely. but this still works better than most only thing i can see to improve on this is to make the 'lip' around the curvature of the center band where the forehead would be, reach out more, and possibly thicker rubber. this may make it look of feel less effective but it would improve on the ability to prevent sweat from dripping out of the band, i also learn that if you angle the sides downwards it helps pull the sweat away from the center as it would pool and drip. besides this issue its good, but it will leave a mark on your forehead, do not believe the video you may have seen. its crap. ... show more

  • Slightly Works
Color: Smoke
I bought this for mountain biking since I’ve had races where sweat drips onto my sunglasses making things extremely sketchy to fly quickly down mountains. This product starts to catch sweat, but after a short while with any leaned-forward position the sweat overflows the gutter system and starts dripping again. During slightly cooler weather or a more upright position the product may work better, but I went to a sweatband and waterproofed the helmet pads closest to my brow and haven’t looked back. It did not move around once in place, but I did get headaches from how tightly I had to keep it. Keep in mind, I’m in Colorado with low humidity, over 6’1 meaning I lean forward a good deal, and I’m pushing fairly hard for 1-3 hours on trails. I will not buy again. ... show more
