  • Awesome faucet features, so nice to use
Color: Vibrant Stainless Style: Semi-Professional Pattern Name: Faucet Only
I love this faucet, I'd give it 5 stars if a couple things were different. That said I have been using a similar design faucet for over a decade but about a year ago the bar to engage the sprayer got stuck/rusted in the sprayer mode. I guess they have a certain lifetime and 10 years might be OK, but this Kohler was much more expensive so it better last 20 years. So I have been using a half functional faucet for the last year and you don't realize the happiness such simple things can bring, such as a faucet head that just works. The one I am replacing is more like the Kohler Sous, which is highly recommended, but I wanted the buttons that hold the sprayer on and gives the full flow power. First, the angled nozzles to produce a powerful flat sweeping spray pattern is EXCELLENT. I've only had it installed a month so hoping these nozzles hold up. This is the best feature of the faucet, but it also looks really nice. Second, and this compliments #1, the bypass button to allow higher flow, is AWESOME for sweeping things off plates or mud off dog frisbees, etc...and also AWESOME for filling pots and dog water bowl reservoirs. Third, the buttons allow you to keep it in the wide spray pattern without holding it in, and thats very helpful when also scrubbing on things, etc...its just nice. Four, this faucet looks very nice and no normal pull out hose issues. The tall spring bends easily to bring it down into a deep sink, and the magnetic holder for the faucet head is perfect, it holds the head at a good distance to allow it to pour into pots and wash hands with less bending and such. Five, install was a breeze and very solid. Previously had a shaky faucet with a little rod and horseshoe shaped nut that I had to re tighten difficultly on an annual basis. This has a full threaded cylinder the supply lines go through, so it cinches down solid all around, and there are set screws to prevent it from loosening. Also, we turned it so the valve was facing about 60 degrees forward so our hands don't drip all over counter when shutting it off or turning on, etc... this worked will with our installation with the large deep full counter depth tub on the left and the smaller shallower sink tub on the right. So the valve just covers where the two tubs are separated. A couple not very important cons, I first received an open box item from Amazon as "new", missing a small piece, so I returned and bought from Kohler direct. I thought the faucet had a grey hose inside the spring to the head, so would blend with the stainless color, but its black, so it sticks out. The buttons are also black plastic, and while I love how they work, I don't love the black plastic look. at least the hose and buttons match I guess. Lastly, and this is just my preference, but I would have preferred a larger base connection to the counter. I have a single hole mount and no room to install the 3-hole cover base. The diameter of the base is adequate to cover the hole, but for stability of this tall thing, I would have preferred it a bit wider or another base adapter at the base that is like half an inch wider all around to also help conceal any issues around the hole cut in the granite. It seems very solid right now, but I really cranked that nut under the sink, crushing the plywood in to make sure it was tight. ... show more

  • Great build quality and no problems in first year of service
Color: Polished Chrome Style: Standard Pattern Name: Faucet Only
After writing a review for the Kohler K-780-VS Cruette Pull-Down Kitchen Faucet, Vibrant Stainless Steel that I received through the Vine program, I realized that I never wrote a review for this Bellera faucet that I purchased last year for my laundry sink. The following paragraph about my experience with a Delta pull-out sprayer kitchen faucet is copied from the Vine review I wrote, as it is pertinent to this product as well: Personal experience with a Delta pull-out-sprayer faucet has taught me the value of a well-built faucet. The Delta was purchased from a local home improvement store several years ago, and I vowed to never purchase a faucet designed that way again. Its major problem (aside from the cheap finish and materials) is that the mounting system relied on a large hex nut squeezing a u-shaped bracket against the countertop. Getting a wrench in there that can grab that hex nut, with all the other items that are typically part of such a faucet as well as the supply and drain lines that are under a sink, is a challenge. A standard faucet wrench won't fit, and neither will the Ridgid faucet installation tool from Home Depot (I tried both). Only a Channel-lock pliers and a standard pliers will fit, and you will only be able to get less than a quarter turn before bumping into obstacles, making it frustrating to install. Doing it once isn't so bad, but then after a few months, the faucet would loosen up and I would have to re-tighten that hex nut. Most likely because I wasn't able to really crank down on that nut to get it set for good. After 5 or 6 trips under the sink over the course of a year, I finally got good enough at it, or I just got frustrated enough that I applied the right force, it stayed put. When it came time to install a new faucet for a laundry sink last year, I stayed away from the cheap models and went for a Kohler faucet. I chose the Bellera because it looked pretty good in the photos and it would be easy to clean if I spattered paint onto it while cleaning up and could be controlled even with my hands full of paint or something. One of the great things I noticed while looking at the installation directions on Kohler's web site, was that the hex nut/bracket combo from the Delta was done much better by Kohler by using an O-shaped collar with two tightening screws. The build quality was also incredible. It was installed by a plumber, so I didn't have a chance to do any of the work myself, but he had it in very quickly, and in almost a year, the faucet has worked flawlessly. I like the polished chrome finish, and the build quality makes you feel like you have a sturdy fixture instead of something that might break if you handle it wrong. The pull-out sprayer works great for cleaning out the sink and the adjustable spray pattern is nice to have. I don't use the pause button, but it's there if you have use for it. When you put the spray head back into the gooseneck arm, it goes in with a satisfying click and it doesn't want to come out like the Delta spray head does. Amazon had a much lower price than any other online or retail store (this particular model was hard to find at local stores, as it seems Kohler has products they hold back from discount stores). We could have purchased it from our contractor's plumbing supplier, but it would have been $100 more than the price we paid here. I was concerned about warranty coverage, so I called Kohler, and they said that as long as Amazon was the seller (and not some third party), they would honor the warranty with no issue. It makes no sense to save a few dollars to get the headache of a poor installation and/or a less durable product in the long run. There may be other fine products out there, but I'm very happy with this faucet and I wouldn't hesitate to buy another when the time comes. ... show more
