High quality, great results. As I am new to bending took a bit to decipher exactly where to place in bender, directions were good, after a couple practice tries, it was very easy to make perfect bends. Very smooth action. Great tool.

    • Nice quality tool ... makes it easy to custom form lines.
I used them to bend 3/8 copper lines. The tool worked very well and it was very easy to get a nice bend. With the larger diameter of the 3/8, it works best if you work the bend in a little at a time so as not to flatten the line.

470fh. Overall I happy. Used it for 3/8od steel hydraulic tube only complaints I have is it’s a little hard to read the locator marks on the 3/8 die as it’s recessed into the casting. Really need good light to see it. Other complaint is I wish the handles were a little longer for leverage. But overall works great ... show more

Incredibly difficult to find a quality tool made in the U.S. I called Imperial before buying this tool to confirm; they are manufactured in Ohio. Used this to put multiple bends on a 1/4” like for he brakes on my son’s truck. A quality tool.

    • Too small to work with ⅜” steel tubing
I was surprised how small this bender is. The die is far too small to bend steel tubing, but the bender is well made, and probably works fine for bending softer copper tubing. The handles are too short to get enough leverage to bend steel tubing and there is no where to clamp this bender in a vise.

    • No 3/16" die
I bought this tubing bender because they're great benders and it said it would do 3/16" tubing. It will indeed bend 3/16" tubing but it does not have a 3/16" die and the instructions tell you to use the 1/4" die for 3/16" tube. It works, but it's not a nice even round bend through the radius. It starts to pinch the tubing at about 90-degrees and does not adequately bend 3/16" past 90-degrees. Does it work? Yes. Is it great? No. That's why I gave it 3-stars. Disappointed. ... show more

This tubing bender works very well. The movable handle is great. It makes it so that you don’t have to cross the handles over to accomplish a 180° bend. The handle grips are helpful. Bending action is smooth and accurate. Spend the extra money on this style and you’ll wonder why you ever used the fixed-handle version for so long. ... show more
