I have to have shoulder surgery on my right shoulder. I was in so much pain, couldn't find a way to sleep without the pain interrupting my nights. I could lift anything over a couple pounds. Then a friend recommended KT Tape, and have to admit I was skeptical and didn't use it for months after that. Then the pain was too much, and I couldn't sleep or find a comfortable position to get in to relieve the pain. At this point I would try anything so out came the KT Tape and when I watched the video on how to do my shoulder and it worked. Now I don't have pain at all, and I am the consummate advocate for KT Tape. Everyone once in awhile my shoulder lets me know it's still there but mostly I don't the pain with this simple method of just putting on this tape. Amazing is my word for it. ... show more

I decided to try using KT tape for some muscle and tendon problems in my leg. I originally got a roll from Walgreens, the Walgreens brand, but when I needed more I figured I would try the name brand KT instead. And I have to say the Walgreens brand has much better adhesive and staying power than the KT brand.     • Convenient, but it just doesn't stay on...

During the last six weeks, I have used three brands of kinesiology tape: KT Tape Pro, Rock tape, and Kinesio Tex Gold. Each of these products has strengths and weaknesses. KT Tape Pro is the easiest to apply, because it comes pre-perforated into convenient lengths that are easily torn from the roll. Unfortunately, KT Tape Pro's adhesive was the least satisfactory, and it usually comes off prematurely. Kinesio Tex Gold doesn't come pre-perforated, but the liner on the back of the tape is marked into convenient lengths, so it's fairly easy to cut strips when needed. It's adhesive was very satisfactory, usually adhering so well that I actually had a little trouble removing bits of adhesive that remained on my skin after I'd pulled off the tape. Rock tape also has a satisfactory adhesive, but it is not pre-perforated, and there are no markings on the back of the tape. So it was the most difficult tape to apply. Although none of these tapes is ideal, I prefer Kinesio Tex Gold, because it sticks well, and it's fairly easy to cut convenient lengths from the roll. ... show more

I have been using a recommending this product to my friends for over a year now. I use it to avoid knee pain and it has helped a lot. I ran a half marathon 3 months ago without any problem and that is counting the training. An additional bonus is that the tapes are durable, sometimes they last for almost a week before I have to change them and I have to take a shower twice a day. ... show more

KT Tape is a lifesaver! I don't do well wearing neoprene supports and KT is the perfect alternative. It stays on for at least 2 days on my elbow with the chafing efforts of my sweatshirt trying to pull it off. Corners have peeled on occaison, but that's operator error. Keep in mind that for best application the area may need to be shaved. I have fine light hair on the top of my forearm and ended up shaving a small section and getting better adhesion. To remove, douse in baby oil then take a shower. Peel gently while the tape is wet. Don't rip. Trust me on this. ... show more

I had my doubts when I first heard of kinesiology tape. But I must admit it helped a lot after I pulled my shoulder out of socket and needed support. Since then, I've used it for various other injuries. The way it works is by helping take the strain out of the muscles that are working extra hard to recover and protect an injured area. Your skin is able to act like an additional layer of muscle. I've used other brands but this one is the stickiest and stays on longer even with working out and showering. Put it on after taking a shower but don't put on any ointment or lotion under it. Follow the advice of the manufacturer and make sure the ends of the tape are on skin and not on another piece of tape. ... show more

I absolutely stand by this stuff. I run in a lot of long distance races and have noticed quicker recovery when using this tape. Also good to use to stabilize a specific joint. Full range of motion when using the tape. Works best on shaved areas.

This was the first time to order the pre-cut strips, they were okay, I wouldn't give them the rave reviews that others have. In my experience, I found they did not adhere as well as the uncut rolls I normally buy. I do wear my Kinesiology Tape 24/7 for medical treatment, so my needs may be a bit different than the average person.I am a fan of KT products and will continue to purchase their uncut rolls. ... show more
