This product works great! The outside of our hot tub just rotted away. Before we installed this product, we used ply wood around the whole perimeter of the hot tub. Attaching the panels was not very difficult. Best if you had two people, but one person can do it just fine. There will be a little bit of cutting, but the product is easy to cut. it is not the sturdiest of materials, but does the job perfectly! We saved thousands of dollars by using this material, rather than going to the dealer for pieces of the original siding. We were hesitant to purchase this because of some of the negative reviews. I think if they would’ve attached plywood first, they wouldn’t have all of the problems that they did. Worked great for us! Very happy with the final look!! Would purchase again! ... show more

This kit is fine and does what it should. But the value is more in the $3-400 range. I needed something better than what was on my hot tub which was falling apart and destroyed by sun. This kit looks nice and if I paid $400 or less I would give it 5 stars but at $800 it barely gets a 2 star rating. Unfortunately I could not find another complete kit that I could get before our 4th of July party. So like I said quality is fair but I feel like I got ripped off at $800. ... show more

    • Overall decent but spendy

It comes in 8 main insulated panels, 4 flex corner panels, 12 seam covers and a bunch of screws. My tub has 8 - 45 degree corners so I had to cut the flex panels in half to accommodate which made my main panel cuts a bit off from being symmetrical but it still looks ok. It made for more seams needing a cover piece (and you only get 12 in the kit) so I had to cut one of the large panels down to make a few more seem covers. I peeled the insulation off of the back of those new covers I made. The screw heads strip easily so be careful. Overall, it turned out decent but the kit is spendy considering you are skirting an old hot tub. I was lucky and got my kit for $500 instead of the new $850 price because one of the interior insulation panels had gouge in it. No biggy for a $350 savings. I don't think I would have paid $850 for the kit had I not found the defective deal. My tub is 17 years old and just trying to get another 4-5 years out of it after spending $1,200 on a new cover and pumps. So with this new skirting I am into it for $1,700. Not bad if it goes another 5 years but who knows.... ... show more

I am disappointed. Before purchasing, I read instructions and looked at installation video, both had different trim pieces than what I received which I only discovered after already cutting the main pieces. After contacting the company, they said they went to a less-wide 1 1/2 inch trim because of "industry standards". So here is the issue. First you use the screws/grommets to attached the main pieces and then you are put the trim pieces over all the seams that are supposed to hide the seams as well as the screw/grommets underneath so that only the screw/grommet on the trim piece is showing. Well, now that the trim is much less wide, it will not hide the screw/grommets underneath unless they are put really close to the edges which can be problematic. The trim pieces also used to be a little concaved so that each side was thicker underneath so that it was more flush because it is being put over screw/grommets that stick up a little. Now the new trim is completely flat and does not do that so hovers a little above the surface. I don't really think they care. I would hesitate going with this kit. Of course, because I cut the main boards, they will not let me return. After seeing how they handled this, I am getting concerned about the longevity and warping. Our old hot tub outer skin was weathered, cracked and falling apart. It was a definite eyesore. This kit was easy to install and looks great. I would have given 5 stars except for the following: 1.) I will have to get more screws and grommets because the quantity supplied in this kit (while enough to attach all the panels and trim) is not enough to really anchor the panels to eliminate all flex/play in the panels. 2.) Price. The kit looks great but for $675 I would have expected the panels to be more heavy duty. Had I not already had a bunch of Amazon giftcards, I doubt I would have ordered this. $475 seems more realistic (my opinion) but I am very happy with the results. ... show more

Easy to install using standard tools. You will need a hand saw and a spade drill bit if you have some tricky electrical supply cuts to make (see pictures). The instructions come in the hardware kit. Put corners on first then sides. Cut all using a standard circular saw. Hardware kit comes with a specialized drill bit for the color matched screws. I ended up having extra hardware but I suppose that if you had a spa larger than a 6‘ x 6‘ then you would probably be just fine. It took me about two hours to do everything - start to finish. Very pleased with the result. These panels will need something to which they can fasten so you may need to replace any damaged wood framing with some pressure treated 2x4s. Tip: Rebuild and enhance the underlying frame first. Update: after almost a year still looks great. Be sure to anchor the provided mini joint cover strips in the center and over both sides of joints to be covered. One bowed out because it needed to be repositioned. So save the hardware kit in case you need to reposition or secure any panels or strips. ... show more

Love the overall transformation of our older spa. May need to add more support behind the panels as they are not as thick or stiff and do give some. May Need some additional tools to retrofit. We had to refashion for the entry door to the pumps.

The product seems sturdy enough; the true test will be during the winter. It looks good and the fact that it's maintenance free is a plus. I decided to use a contractor to install it as I didn't have all of the needed tools. There was some needed cutting of the panels to fit my hot tub as well as the need to provide access to the pumps & electrical system. ... show more
