I recently purchased a 2014 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid. It has 147,000 miles on it when I bought it. I switched to the Mobil 1 oil at 152,000 miles from conventional oil. I was getting about 31-32 mpg on conventional oil but I've seen my Mpg go to 38-41 Mpg since I switched. It took about two weeks of driving for it to fully lubricate the engine I guess because it gradually went up the more I drove. I'll never go back to conventional oil. I could tell right away the engine was running much smoother when driving. I'm putting this in my 2001 F150 and my 2010 Mazda Miata. Great price and fantastic product!!😁 ... show more

I normally don't post reviews, but this has to be a record of some sort. 738.2 miles on a full tank of gas (18 gallon tank) with a car with over 100k miles on the odometer! That's 41.74 mpg! You can see in the picture that based on the last trip fuel economy, my car estimates that it can now go 746 miles to empty! I drive a used 2018 Nissan Altima, not particularly well known for great performance or great gas mileage. But here's my car, with 104,010 miles on the odometer, that I drove 738.2 miles going from a full tank of gas to almost empty (no reading on the remaining range). I basically drove from Trenton, NJ, crossing borders of Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, DC, well into Virginia, going well past Richmond and Petersburg coming within 50 miles of North Carolina border, and then drove back to Trenton, all on a single tank of gas. The trip meter shows gas mileage for the trip as 43.9, but calculating from the volume of gas that was required to make the tank full again, 17.685 gallons, the actual gas mileage comes out to be 41.74 mpg. That's probably better than many hybrid cars. And that too in winter when average gas mileage drops quite a bit. The drive was 95% highway mostly at steady speed. Compare that with the EPA rating of a new 2018 Nissan Altima with 2.5L I4 engine, it's 27 mpg city and 38 mpg highway. This car gave better fuel economy than a new Nissan Altima! That's just astounding. For comparison, when I had just got this car, it had 41,000 miles on the odometer and at that time I could drive about 620 miles with a full tank of gas. That's about 36 mpg, mostly highway. That's when I had the Nissan OEM conventional oil in my engine. The only reason I can ascribe this dramatic and unthinkable increase in fuel economy to is using Mobil1 Extended Performance High Mileage Engine oil, and to perhaps to some extent the filter, Purolator Boss, which is also a great filter, perhaps better than the Mobil 1 extended performance filter. I am pretty sure this is among the best of the best in the market. It's uncanny how much of a difference good engine oil can make for a car. I have been using Mobile 1 full synthetic oil in 4 of my vehicles since 2008. Never had an engine failure or internal problems in none of them. 3 years ago I sold one vehicle with 279,000 miles and running strong. It was a 2008 Chrysler mini van with original engine. The second vehicle is a 2010 Dodge Charger bought new and is garaged with 92,000 miles on it. At 14 years old No engine problems! Might of fact only parts replaced on vehicle is tires and lug nuts, Wiper blades, air filter, front brakes ( should have replaced those brake hoses when vehicles was 10 years old). Brakes were still good but a brake hose collapse and seizings caliper piston. 3rd I bought new 2020 Hyundai Santa Fe has 60,000 miles on it now the engine runs like new and does not use any oil between oil changes. All vehicles started using Mobile 1 synthetic oil at 2,000 miles. Last vehicle bought was bought used for my teenage son a 2010 Honda civic with 114,000 miles .Don’t know the oil change history but it had Mobile 1 oil in it when purchased ( written on oil change sticker on windshield). Changed oil and now after 3000 miles the oil level on dipstick has not moved! Now the conclusion no matter what you search on what is the best oil is Mobile 1 synthetic is going to be rated as 1,2 or maybe 3 depends on who is doing the testing. Now a mechanic that has torn down a very high mileage engine to look at wear (talking over 350,000 miles) that used entirely mobile 1 synthetic will say you can never go wrong by using Mobile 1 oil! ... show more
