It's not as if any of us have sophisticated Labs that we can test microscopic metal wear. All I can say is I think it's worth it to buy a name brand. Even though most oils come out of just a few select refineries for the entire country, I think there is a brand quality control process. There are some brands, well they are basically generics, that I will avoid because of the things I've read about them. One brand I will avoid comes from one of the big warehouse membership stores. And that happens to be their name brand. As far as mobile one, it's probably fine. Like I say no one here has the ability to actually tell you the quality of a particular motor oil. And even with an off-brand that didn't provide as much protection as a name brand, someone wouldn't be able to tell a difference for tens of thousands of miles if even that. So like I say I'm just going to stick to name brands whether it's this brand or some other brand with a good reputation. ... show more

I like that the oil last 3,000 miles at worst 5,000miles at best I see others push it 20,000 miles , but I’m not them everyone’s different. Nice Golden brown colored motor oil similar to cooking oil in color , little to no smell , pours out the bottle smooth into Cars Engine like a Creek Water .

Style: Extended Performance Configuration: 5W-20
Provides a high level of protection and performance. Since it is rated for 20,000 miles between changes, it ends up being cheaper than a non-synthetic oil (as long as the proper oil filter is used with it.) I have probably driven at least 600,000 miles since 1982, and I've never had an issue.

My 2013 Toyota Tundra loves this stuff. It runs quieter, cooler and gets better mileage. I keep it to 5k to be sure the Florida heat and long drives towing a small trailer.

I received a great deal on this Mobil 1 and my 2015, Double cab, 4X4 with the 5.3 V8 runs very smooth with this oil. I personally don't do the 20,000 OCI between oil changes but usually change my oil between 7k to 8k miles. I am very happy with Mobil 1 full synthetic oil.
