You may think it crazy and absurd ordering motor oil from Amazon but a person's got to do when it's simply convenient. Our local Costco here in the city stopped selling Mobile One and having to drive to any of the local automobile stores is not only inconvenient but you have to put up with snotty kids with attitude. Prices charged on Amazon are decent so you never overpay once you get the final order over $25. What makes this particular oil amazing is the fact I have a 17 year old Toyota which is used only make doctor's appointments and short hops to local places here in the city. As a result I never put more than 3k miles in the course of a year. Oil changes are performed in alternating years.....yes alternating years! Book value is insultingly low however I keep it around just for these purposes. So far it worked for me these 15 years since I retired. Can I have the oil changed by others? Yes but why pay hard earned bucks not knowing what kind of bulk oil is used when I can get the job done in 10 minutes or less knowing it's completed properly .... overtighted drain plug are avoided, oil filter cartridge isn't overtightened with a breaker bar, and all the remaining fluids are validated to be topped off. There's got a be a reason why Mobile clearly states this oil can be used in extended drain intervals! ... show more

I have been using mobile one extended oil on all my four cars and I can tell you this is the best oil I ever used, the price is good and you can actually drive 18,000 to 20,000 miles on this oil, my 2003 Tahoe has 190,000 miles and I have actually drove 20,000 miles with the mobile extended filter and nothing happened, oil was dark but still liquified to lubricate vital engine parts and I use it on my wife’s 2014 Acadia and I ran it with 16,000 miles on the oil before changing it and the engine still runs good. ... show more

My friend in high school referred Mobile 1 full synthetic motor oil to me when I bought my 2nd car for brand new. I had always used Mobile 1 from then on for every 5000 miles oil change. Now I am on my 6th car so far, my current vehicle has over 120k miles, and I’m using mobile 1 all the time. I am switching from economy synthetic motor oil 0w20 to high mileage 0w20. Let’s see how the result is after I switched. Amazon has the best price so far. Inflation has increased motor oils in every retailers except Amazon online. I like this oil and I usually pair it with either a Mobil1 oil filter or a long life very efficient Fram XG oil filter. We use this oil up to 20,000 miles or one year in some cars that see lots of highway, but in others that have turbocharger and see a good many stop and go miles, we will change oil and filter at 10,000 miles. Later these engines have over 200,000 miles and still do not use or leak oil. Has saved me lots of time and money over the years! ... show more

Recommended oil changes on my cars are at 10,000 miles. I change mine every 5,000, so I couldn't say if it really lasts 10,000. I do think the engine runs slightly quieter with this oil than with cheaper ones. Improvement in mileage is probably too small to be noticed without careful measurement. I use synthetic in my pressure washer, walk behind mower, and my Lawn Tractor. This was a good value and I've never had a lubrication issue in any of my small engines. Came safely, but was delivered a little slow. I use Mobil 1 Extended Performance oil in my Jeep Wrangler Sahara JL and my Kia Soul EX. Provides year long protection at a fair price. Always provides proper levels of protection. Don't see myself changing to a different brand of oil anytime soon.
