  • CYLINDER WILL NOT HOLD PRESSURE IN HIGH POSITION - TRY THIS EASY FIX
Color: Black
PLEASE READ THIS -- If your chair is sinking when you sit in it in high position -- PLEASE READ THIS My chair is only a couple of years old, but has never held the high position even when it was brand new and has gotten progressively worse. I don't weigh anywhere near the 330 pound limit for the chair. So, we took the chair apart to see if the cylinder could be replaced. And the answer is "NO, it cannot be replaced". However, since we put the chair back together it has stopped sinking when I sit in it. REALLY???? What's up with that! My husband said that most likely the seal in the cylinder was a little dry which allowed the gas to leak a little inside. When we took the cylinder portion off of the chair the lubricating oil inside the cylinder flowed around and re-moisturized the seal enabling it to hold the pressure. So, if your chair is sinking, TURN IT UPSIDE DOWN FOR A COUPLE OF HOURS so that the lubrication oil will drain down to the seal at the top of the cylinder. When we found out the cylinder couldn't be replaced, I went off immediately and ordered a new chair. Now mine is working just fine and the new one arrives tomorrow. UGH!! BTW - I really like this chair now that it is fixed! It's very comfortable and is holding up nicely. ... show more

  • Most uncomfortable chair I've ever had
Color: Black
I've been working at home full-time for about a decade. As you might imagine, I've been through a fair number of chairs in that time. Recently, I switched to a sit-stand desk that's programmable and fully adjustable. I decided I'd like a drafting chair to keep me closer to the standing height even when sitting, but also to make the transition faster. After some research, I settled on the Modway Attainment chair. The good: It looks fine. I like that the armrests can be lifted out of the way. After some adjustments, it reclines and move easily. The price is solid. The bad: It's just flat the most uncomfortable chair I've ever owned of any type, period. I don't know what's happening, but within seconds of sitting in this chair, my butt, lower back, and upper legs are all screaming at me. In an attempt to salvage the chair, I bought a $30 memory foam pad. While it helped a little, it only delays the severe pain by about 5 minutes, tops. Right now, I'm sitting in a $30 Ikea chair with no adjustments and I'm much more comfortable. To be clear, this chair it not a good chair either, so I'm getting something else. ... show more

  • Very Comfortable
Color: Black
This is a decent chair for the price as compared with what else is on the market. It takes about 10 min to assemble and there is a large range for height adjustment. The arms also fold up and out of the way if needed. I find the chair to be very comfortable and sit in it many hours a day without any cramps or pains. it doesn't seem like it is the highest quality, but also not poorly manufactured. Should last for a very long time. Definitely recommend. ... show more

  • Not really the advertised height
Color: Brown
I purchased this model specifically because I needed it to be at least 31 inches tall. When I assembled it, it was that tall as long at it was extended to full height, but almost as soon as I actually sat in it, it started to sink. I tried to return it but could not get the thing apart. The pneumatic stem just slots in to the stand at the bottom but, once it's in, you can't ever get it out again. I persevered in the hope that it wouldn't sink any further. Now it's too late to return it and the height has continued to sink. It's now settled to a fully-extended height of 28 inches, well below the height I need and I seem to be stuck with it. ... show more

  • Craft /Drafting Chair... Pros and Cons
Color: Black
PROS: Got this yesterday, fast on time delivery. Excellent chair. I am 5' 1" and the seat and back fit my lower and upper arch of my back perfectly. The padding in the seat is very nice. It is very comfy and room to move around. The material/fabric seems like it will last if not , it will be very easy to cover. Since I put all my items that I purchase together, this was easy to do .CONS : 1. BUT ... someone needs to 'proof read" your instructions and add a few missing directions for a person that may not have put any products together. 2. I think the loop on the rod of the chair could have been made a little bit bigger (for us "shorties" I do not have long legs)... to be able to use it for a foot prop while sewing without turning the chair sideways to use it. All in all, great product! ... show more

  • Great buy. Met all my wants!
Color: Black
I shopped for months, reading tons of reviews, and comparing prices. I feel as if I hit the jackpot with this chair. The height adjustments go from normal to really high! I can adjust the foot stool and move the arms as needed. The seat it super comfy and at the prefect angle. The mesh back is the perfect support. The chair is really a sleek design and the material seems very durable. I did notice a tiny scratch on the base when the wheels lock in on the top. But totally not noticeable from a distance. It was super easy for me to put together myself. I just had my husband do one final tightening of the screws when he came home from work. I have my desk on risers and at 5’2” it is standing height for me. My other chair didn’t raise high enough. But this chair is perfect. I do with the round foot stool was bigger so I didn’t have to tuck my feet in to rest on it. But I believe it is standard size in comparison to all rounded foot rests. ... show more

Color: Black
From unboxed to complete assembly took 45min I have a mix feeling – I liked the quality made of this chair but once I seat down the pneumatic cylinder went down from its max height of 30” I am now short by 2 inches to reach my KB to type comfortably. I also not sure how to tighten the foot ring? A 3 stars is not a fair review, 4 is too much definitely not a 5. Yes, the arm rest can be lift up for easy on and off the chair but I rather it be adjustable up & down I am going to wait and see what happen after I discuss my issues with the Lexmod http://www.lexmod.com/p-15571-18727-attainment-office-chair.aspx ... show more
