I got the long teaser/wand thing with three of the attachments for it. My dog goes NUTS for it and it’s pretty much all he wants to play with. On one of them, the squeaker broke relatively quickly. The second one got hit by a mower so no fault of its own 😂 but the third one, the plastic bit inside of it that houses the rattle things broke into two pieces and now just freely moves around and will make its way into the tail of the toy where the squeaker is supposed to be, so my dog will catch it but have to grab hard plastic instead of a squeaker and no matter how many times I maneuver it back to the front of the toy and move the squeaker back into the tail, it just goes right back. The squeaker also wasn’t working very well on it anymore. So the other day I got on here and saw that they were half off. I got 4 of them and they came in yesterday. My dog was SUPER excited when he saw them. Well one of them broke just within maybe an hour total of playing. The squeaker doesn’t work at all. Mind you, my dog is only about 9 pounds so HE isn’t causing them to break by being a rough chewer or anything. The squeakers on his normal toys are perfectly fine, and that’s with him AND another slightly larger dog playing with them. He’s the only one interested in these teasers and they’re already breaking. It’s disappointing because he LOVES these and I really don’t want to keep putting forth the money to get replacements that aren’t even going to last a month. The plastic inside needs to be better and the squeaker needs a major durability upgrade or something ... show more

I have a 100lb German Shepherd and the weight of his breathing on toys breaks them. This was extremely sturdy, surprisingly so. I wanted to buy this to exhaust his prey drive, but apparently, he wants to prey exclusively on my fence and not this really cool awesome squeaky toy. Five stars because I like the toy and if it were up to me I would play with it if I was a dog. My cat seems to enjoy chasing it, my dog is just boring. Pros. Strong, squeaks, long enough to keep the preying wild creature away from you when they are chasing it. The toy on the end is replaceable and there is an easy instruction manual that tells you how to. My pit bull loves to chase this so much. This item was recommended by a local dog trainer and our girl loves it. It was great that she could still chase after it even in winter. My only wish is that the line was made of stronger material. I’ve bought this pole three or four times because my dog chews on the line enough to make it break. After the first pole, I learned to not let my dog catch it as much, and not hang onto it for long when she would catch it to it could last longer. Don’t get the BEAVER or the FOX, they only have a squeaker (and we know those never last). For the same price, the long haired ones called “BLACK” and “BROWN” have a squeaker AND a RATTLE - the rattle lasts way longer. I made the mistake of getting the beaver this time because its so cute but my dog is not nearly as interested as he was with the black and brown ones. Black and Brown are 5-stars from us! Otherwise the starter tail teaser setup is fun as heck - my old dog runs around like he just got out of a bath :) ... show more

My mini Aussie loves this toy and it sure gets him running around chasing the lure. However, during the first time playing with it, he was able to pull the wand part out of the handle. I can see what looks like glue residue, so I am going to try to super glue it back. That said, I just stuffed the wand back into the handle and it still works. Though a strong yank pulls it out again. I am also not a fan of the 2 toys it comes with. It says they are plush toys but they are more hairy than plush. After my dog has one in his mouth for a while, it quickly becomes a disgustingly sodden mess! I substituted the toys with a braided fleece lure which works much better. The rope is a perfect length and the teaser is easy to manipulate to get your dog chasing it. I like to keep it just out of reach, then let him "catch" the lure once in a a while. I do wish the wand was more durable and collapsible, but I bought one that had both features, and I ended up preferring this one. The other aluminum one was sturdier and you screw one part into the other, so it was shorter and easier for travel. BUT it also meant the pole is heavier and harder to manipulate. I like the quality and it doesn't break even if they tug on it. I have a lab golden retriever mix and she can't break it. Shes obsessed with it and will go crazy if she hears it come out. It tires her out really well. 10-15 minutes and she's good for the night.

We first got one for our vizsla puppy last year and she was OBSESSED with it! Now we have a second one because our new mini Aussie is also obsessed with it. Happy to have a pole for each dog to chase! They get worn out and it’s minimal effort for me. If tugged on a lot, the plastic handle comes off, but it’s still usable.
