I am just super impressed with this rug.. I read all the reviews, looked at pics.. some pics.. color not really right.. it's hard to capture the exact colors.. due to lighting.. So I took a few pics... this rug has a nice variety of colors.. they say beigh. some of it is beigh.. however, the other colors, gold (it is not at all a bright gold, it subtle... I have a chair next to it.. the chair has gold.. so the rug, not as gold as the chair.. and the rug also has some light grey, off white, ... subtle colors... but blends beautifully with the chair and furniture.. not overpowering.. soo much better than a boring beigh rug... So, once again great rug.. not only the quality.. very well made.. no fraying... we have been walking on it regularly.. have had only a couple weeks. but I know from experience.. it is going to hold up... but.. keep in mind... the material.. do not be reckless... don't drag sharp objects across it.. if you do pull up a knot.. just cut it off... it will be ok.. DO NOT PULL it.. as the manufacturer states.. Lastly the price... I purchased a 6 x 6 square.. so perfect for the space... AMAZING PRICE! well.. I know how important reviews are.. I buy products based on reviews.. I think there was one bad review.. some people will complain about anything.. the bad review wasn't about the rug.. I think it was the packaging, for safe delivery, it's extra packaging.. which I am impressed with.... but all the rest of the reviews... right on! and thank you AMAZON... Edit: After several years in our office, we moved this rug to the eat-in area in our kitchen (a more high-traffic/used area of our house). That was a mistake. Within a year of moving the rug, it has become noticeably more worn. In fact, the rug now has a large hole, and needs to be replaced. Overall, I still think it was a relatively good buy for $144 (8'x10'), with one caveat: this rug (and those of its type - because they're made of natural woven fibers) is best in low-traffic areas. For this reason, I am editing my original review and reducing the score I gave it from 5 stars to 3 stars. What a great purchase! I bought the 8 x 10 (w/ free pad) for our home office @ $144 and couldn't be happier. I did a LOT of research on natural fiber rugs before placing my order. I had read that these rugs are rough, uncomfortable on bare feet, they shed, smell funny, unravel easily, and leave behind a lot of dust. The rug was a little dirty when we first unrolled it. I vacuumed the rug a couple of times (w/ the beater bar off) and that took care of the dust/dirt. I usually vacuum once a week. I have moved the rug back to see if dust is collecting underneath and it's been dust-free every time. It smelled (I liken it to tea tree oil) for about a day or two, and I don't notice any smell now. I haven't owned the rug long enough to know if it unravels easily, but it seems that, if caught early, any unraveling could easily be tucked back in. Lastly, I find the rug surprisingly comfortable. Not as comfortable as a wool or cotton rug, but much more comfortable than expected. I know everyone's tolerance to pain is different. To me, it's definitely not painful, as some reviewers have reported. We LOVE it! ... show more

This rug arrived today and a Day ahead of schedule, kudos to Amazon! It came down wrapped very neatly and packaged in Tyvek with yellow tape, it was easy to unpack and was wrapped around a cardboard roll. Are used a gripper pad along with this rug underneath which really helps it from moving around. It seems to fit the pad perfect and rolled out very easily, there is no shedding whatsoever that I can tell, the rug seems very nice and easy on my feet and enjoy the look of it as well. This is one of the best Amazon purchases I've made to date!!! <3 I love this rug and the way it looks in my living room! I didn't think it would feel too great to walk on with bare feet, but it's very comfortable (almost soft). It really blends with the hardwood floors and with the plants I have around the room, lending a very natural/earthy feel. I appreciate that a rug pad came included, so it was super convenient to just remove the packaging and enjoy. I've had no problem with the corners curling. It has enough weight to it so I can flip the sides inward as I mop the floors, and it stays put until the floors have dried. Everyone coming by to visit comment on how good it looks. One thing though...if you have cats...they may tend to try it out as a scratching pad. My cat has done this a couple of times, but there is no damage caused. With the texture of the rug, it would be unnoticeable. I would highly recommend this rug!! ... show more

My excitement at the arrival of the Bremen-colored 7' Round Jute Rug turned to great disappointment as it unrolled and was not flat, but had circles of bumpy ridges! We had not pulled it, nor had any furniture been put upon it at all. See the picture. It came unusable; however, the return process appears to not only be at our inconvenience, but our cost! More great disappointment with this purchase. UPDATE: I am impressed with the customer service of this company. I will not have to pay the return cost. When I went to roll the rug back on to the cardboard tube, I discovered it had been bent; obviously the stretch damaged the ability for the rug to lay flat. A CSR contacted me and kindly confirmed that they would refund me the full price when they receive the rug back; I will just drop it off at a UPS office with their label. ... show more
