  • Caution ! Best to change out the bolts provided with the product
Color: White
Easy install. Very useful. I experienced an issue with the bolts provided by the manufacture. I installed the rack on my 2010 Transit Connect. I specifically purchased the rack to transport a custom door I built to a clients home for installation. The rack went together smoothly. The crossbar bolts to well made mounts , with the use of bolts that ride in a channel. This makes install a quick and accurate process. You can adjust the crossbar exactly on center. Makes for a clean appearance. After placing the door onto the rack, I noticed one of the bolts holding the crossbar to the mounting bracket had broken. As if it had been over tightened. Perhaps I did? I have worked in trades all my life. I seem to have a good concept of tight. I drove to my clients home ( some 24 miles away) in doubt. Worried I would loose the door on the freeway. I never did. Made it all the way with no issue. The door was very heavy. 9’ , 2’8”, solid wood. Over 125 pounds. Perhaps that was a factor? I will be making a trip over to Ace Hardware to find some Grade 8 replacement bolts and nuts. Just a better safe, than sorry, choice on my part. Overall, very satisfied. • Great value but.....
Color: White
Purchased for a 2020 Nisan NV200 for occasionally carrying a ladder. It was relatively easy to install with the most time consuming part was getting the rubber strips into the top channels that protect the ladder from touching the metal bars. Since the bars are made from extruded aluminum there are 3 groves in them so the logical move is to have the side without a grove facing forward to prevent bugs and such from collecting inside. The instructions are incredibly small and difficult to read but it's just a ladder rack and you can figure it out easily. Now here's the but... part. At speeds of 35 through 45 mph there is a VERY irritating low frequency rumbling noise, at highway speeds it goes away, I should have read the reviews. Someone mentioned that with a ladder loaded the sound went away but I only occasionally carry one. I removed the rear rack but the sound remained, removed the front rack and it was gone. I guessed the sound was produced by air flowing around those 2 unused groves in the aluminum bar so I filled them with white GE silicone caulking and PRESTO the sound was gone at all speeds so it had to be those grooves making the bar resonate with the air flow and the van roof becoming a sound board. If I knew this was the fix I would have taped the bar for a better cosmetic caulking job. The back side groove on the bar is totally unnecessary so the manufacturer should eliminate it and provide enough extra rubber guard material to fill the unused slots in the bar. I really like the racks and roof mounting was easy but I had the extra expense of 2 tubes of caulking plus the aggravation of the whole experience. Hopefully you won't have this problem on your vehicle but if you do, then this fix worked for me, ... show more

This was soooo easy to put on my 2012 Ford Transit Connect! The time it took was only an hour and I had a stubborn screw that did not want to be removed from my van! I am so excited to add my solar panels and a carrier on top! WHAT A GREAT PROJECT FOR A WOMAN TO DO! THANK YOU!
