  • No More Bites Almost 1 Year Later!!
Item Package Quantity: 1 Size: Full
My family and I were getting bitten by bedbugs and I wanted to try a cheaper remedy before paying a professional. I purchased this in March 2017 for all the mattresses and box springs in my home and since then none of us have gotten a single bite and almost 1 year later the covers are holding out strong with no rips or holes. Will definitely recommend this product!!! UPDATE: Receiced an email from amazon about this review and wanted to provide another update. Its now March 2019 which is exactly 2 years after I purchased this product and we still haven’t gotten any bites and the covers are still holding out strong. Some say the bed bugs should be dead by now and the covers can be removed but I’m not taking any chances! ... show more

  • I hate them! Anyway
Item Package Quantity: 1 Size: Queen
We ordered this as part of dealing with a bed bug issue earlier this year. I truly believe because of these covers we were able to capture most of them, and without the covers we still would be dealing with the issue. We are bed bug free for several months now. They are some sneaky little suckers but if you're diligent and try to eradicate the issue as quickly as you can, it's possible to get rid of them. We did have to throw out our couch, but we were able to not let the issue get to far out of hand. It was hell for a few months though. Do not call pest control - they do not have the means to get rid of your problem permanently. It takes using these covers, diatomaceous earth powder, vacuuming. Setting sticky traps. OMG I'm getting itchy just thinking about those blood-sucking boogers! I hate them! Anyway.....these covers totally worth it!! ... show more

  • Awful, built for children
Item Package Quantity: 1 Size: Full
This mattress-protector seems designed for children having bed-wetting problems. If you're an adult who perhaps wishes to protect your mattress from bedbugs/fleas/spilled drinks/etc., forget it. This thing is lined with plastic, so you have a constant, loud rustling from it, not to mention intense body-heat/sweat bouncing back at you non-stop. Not sure what adult could tolerate sleeping on this, but I returned it immediately, and purchased a different brand (not sure why I strayed in the first place, my fault for trusting reviews). Check out the photo and notice the sheen on the lining. Look comfy? ... show more

  • Excellent!
Item Package Quantity: 1 Size: Queen
This is a great addition to a new or existing bed. I recently purchased a brand new Tempurpedic Pro Adapt and decided I'd buy one since I didn't have a "sealed" mattress protector on my previous bed! This is an tiny investment on my $$$$$$$ bed. I layered my bed using the Tempurpedic bed case, then the waterproof stain protector sheet then encased it with the Utopia. My first problem was hoping that the Utopia wouldn't be able to house all those layer and that it may have a tight fit, but it encased everything just fine. I probably could have purchased a pillow topper and it would have enough room (don't quote me on that though)! The zipper is the best part! It makes sure no dust mites or bed bugs (ewwww) can get into my mattress...EVER! I've recommended it to at least 5 friends and they've all agreed with what I said! NOW GO BUY IT!!! ... show more

  • Not waterprooof
Item Package Quantity: 1 Size: Twin
Not waterproof. My daughter had an accident the first day I put this on her brand new mattress and the pee went right through the mattress protector. Other than that I like the product but the whole reason I bought it was to have a waterproof protector and that it is not.

  • AWESOME
Item Package Quantity: 1 Size: Twin
I bought these 3 years ago for every mattress in our household when we endured a bedbug invasion (thank you, college dorms...). The problem was mainly in one bedroom, but I wanted to protect every mattress in the entire house. The covers reduced the problem immediately, just by trapping the existing bugs in, and keeping new ones out so they could be killed by other means. So for starters, these inexpensive covers saved me from potentially spending a zillion dollars on new mattresses for the entire family. Instead, I could throw that money at a seriously effective and family-safe spray from the amazing folks at SayByeBugs-dot-com. (Yes, buy it. Right now. Read their BOOK on solving the problem, and follow the instructions. There is NOTHING better.) Between SayByeBugs' "everything-spray" and laundry soap, these Utopia mattress covers, and a LOT of blood, sweat, and tears, we conquered the Plague without having to bring in a professional company at a cost of even more zillions. The covers are soft, they are not "sweaty", and they don't make crinkly noises when you move on them. So on that experience alone, these are 5-star covers. Usage note: You DO want to put a regular mattress cover and sheets on them, just like you would a regular bed. Just think of these as being merged with your mattress and never take them off. Wash the sheets and the standard cover, and leave this in place. But my story does not end there! Today, three years later, this particular mattress cover got BIG bonus points!!!! Today I was going to buy two new covers for the two mattresses I still have, just because the original ones were old and getting gross. The Plague is long past but these covers have remained on the beds ever since. (Why bother removing them, when they are comfortable and soft, plus providing that extra protection? And Heaven forbid....what if there just happened to be a bug inside?? It's a totally unrealistic fear in my case, since these two mattresses were never infested, but you develop bedbug PTSD and it's hard not to become ridiculously hypervigilant after an experience like that.) Well, we have been moving and my kids are playing musical furniture, so today I hauled my son's mattress -- with this Utopia cover on it -- from his house to mine so my daughter can use it, with the intent to hop on Amazon tonight and order up a replacement cover so it will be fresh and clean for her. Well, during the move, some diesel fuel spilled in the back of the truck and SOAKED the mattress cover. I about died when I realized what had happened. I thought for sure the mattress was ruined. And my daughter had been so looking forward to getting a bigger bed! Then I realized that these are supposed to be waterproof. Could it be...? I carefully stripped off the cover, and ran my hand up to where the spill was...and lo and behold...THE MATTRESS WAS DRY!!!! I proceeded with rolling the cover inside out, so the fuel-soaked portion would not touch the mattress, ran it through the wash to get rid of the excess, and then put it in a plastic trash bad and threw it away, still wet (you never want to put anything with even a trace of fuel on it into the dryer...kaBOOM!). It took two spin cycles to get the majority of the rinse water out because the waterproofing trapped water inside the cover. That gives you an idea of the quality of the waterproofing. I read some of the negative reviews, and I think those people got a different product. The ONLY issue I had with these was not the fault of the cover -- I had this cover on a box spring, which was on a metal bed frame. The metal tore the cover, rendering it useless. But that could have happened with any cover. I mention it just as a warning -- if you have a metal bed frame, be careful when you're sliding the covered mattress into the frame. So here I am, as planned, ordering two new covers. I am a very happy customer!! ... show more
