First of all, note the measurements that are given in the item description; there is no use writing a bad review because it's small. Yes it is, and as a petite person of 5'1" I am so grateful. I've been adapting to regular/big furniture all my life and this is a real treat. For my living room turned art studio, I got the futon and matching chaise and am so happy with what I got for a little over $300! I easily got the boxes in the door. They were well packaged and had no damage (happy to report). The feet come stored in a hidden compartment in the underlining. I had both unboxed and set up in 20 minutes. Due to the compact design, I now have so much more floor space than I did with my sofa. The profile is low, which is great for a lounge vibe. I like the microfiber fabric which has a napped suede finish and the tan color is a perfectly neutral shade of beige. The plastic feet are large and sturdy and look fine. The padding is very firm, like a car seat, and should hold up well. I would probably put a topper on for sleeping because the padding is maybe 1.5" thick (it's not a 10" Serta mattress people). The chaise can be placed in front of the futon and attached with velcro straps so that it all flattens to a very reasonably sized bed (@67"x67"). As long as you are realistic about about what this price point will get you, I think you will appreciate, as I do, that it's a good value. ... show more

One of my larger friends sat on this thing one time, and the beam that holds the hinge for the back on one side cracked. Turns out half-inch-thick particle board is not a good material for a load bearing part. The couch is still technically functional, but it is pretty much holding itself together by the fabric it's covered in now. Definitely important information to keep in mind if you or anybody you expect to sit on this thing weighs more than around 200 pounds. ... show more

I just received the tan microsuede futon today. It took me <20 minutes to get it out of the box, assembled (which is literally just screwing on the legs, setting the couch upright and positioning the back). I really like how the legs were stored inside the zippered storage section underneath the futon. It arrived in perfect condition, very compact and had no chemical smells. It is the perfect couch for small spaces. It is not a large piece of furniture by any means, so if you're taller or looking for a large couch, this is not for you. The cushioning is extremely firm and feels like it will keep it's shape for many years. It would not be the most comfortable thing to sleep on but would get the job done. I personally like both firm and soft cushioning, so I'm okay with the firmness of this. The legs are made of plastic, but are very sturdy, and appear to be wood from afar. They come with wool adhesives stuck underneath the legs to protect your floors. The back of the futon clicks into position and stays put, and there are several angles that you can click it into. There is not a center pole or leg underneath the futon, just the four legs in the corners, but the board that sits across the bottom underneath the padding seems sturdy enough. Do not let children jump on this. The paperwork that comes with this says it will seat 3 average adults, and I think the futon layed out in sleeping position is in-between a twin and full-sized mattress. I am in love with this futon and plan on buying the chaise next to complete my livingroom. The price was great, suits all of my needs, and looks high quality. I highly recommend. ... show more

I've had this for 6 months. Its kinda hard but since I only had the floor before, it's an improvement, i just added thin pillows to help. Plastic legs, but i have sat at least 3 people with a combined weight of 500 lbs on it before with no issues. It's also against a wall, but the locking back works fine. It hasn't deflated in stuffing and is still fairly soft, think of a waiting room chair, it's about that level of firm softness. I'm 5'8 and i can lay on it and watch tv for a while, but I wouldn't sleep on it. My biggest complaint is its not super deep. Dimensions are taking the wooden support for the down position into account. It's not over 20 inches deep upright and is similar to a typical office chair depth. Also it's a bit low to the ground, but i'm a college student so it's not the worst to get out of for me. For the money it's pretty good and i'll definitely be using it for a while. ... show more

This futon- sofa is super easy to install. It’s cute and good for small spaces. If you’re looking for something simple, it’s perfect also it has a suede texture which is great! Comfort level I would say is alright, not super amazing but the price is alright for quality.

I read EVERY single review before I purchased this futon. I was looking for something attractive and cheap for the room that my kids play their video games in and this was perfect for that. Popped the legs on, and it was ready to go! I am worried about the durability because my son is 4 and jumps a lot, but for the price, I'm just hoping it last at least a year. As far as comfort, it's not unbearably uncomfortable. I do not intend to use this as a bed, but the size did surprise me. I thought it was going to be miniature based on other reviews that I read but I was pleasantly surprised. My two kids and I fit very comfortably, and we could probably even fit one more person if it wasn't for my desire of personal space! All in all, this was a great buy. ... show more
