I tilt this product to make typing on my laptop keyboard more comfortable (especially for my wrists) and I use it to raise the monitor up to eye level. Usually I use it to work while sitting/reclining on the floor/beanbag/mattress or I set it on a shorter table. Sometimes I use it to turn my desk into a standing desk. I don't always like to be stuck at my desk while I work from home, and this makes it easier to have that kind of flexibility. I bought a used version and I recently noticed a small (smaller than my thumbnail) crack in the plastic piece that is used to adjust the height (see picture). I'm not sure if it was cracked when it arrived, but it was protected/packed very well in the original packaging. If you position the laptop in a certain way, the shelves that hold the laptop and mouse in place stay out of the way of your wrists. ... show more

I was surprised by how light this stand is. I was more than pleased to see that it came already assembled, ready to use right out of the box! The only thing that had to be put on was the stops so the laptop and mouse don't slide off. I was able to get set up and get comfy on my bed and was able to get work done without my back hurting and without burning my legs from the laptop. I got the large-sized stand, so I had plenty of room for my 13-inch MacBook Pro and my bullet journal. Once I was done, all I had to do was tilt the stand at a steeper angle, lie down, and stream a movie. My wife pretended not to notice...but I know what to get her for Christmas now!! ... show more

work from home has caused me to increasingly use my bed as my office. I thought it would be a smart investment (and save my back) to use one of these tables. It's pretty much what I was looking for and the functionality/versatility are quite good. It can tilt to be comfortable at whatever position I recline in. Overall it does and has what is described, while providing some quality of life features, the handle, bumper, wrist rest etc. Construction is sturdy and solid, I'm thoroughly enjoying it. update7/6: after some use I still find the need for more room, and versatility. a comparison of similar products showed me tables with an extra drawer and other bells and whistles etc. I find my opinion changing the more I use it. 7/8 but is that really the products fault, no. To be truthful, it does what it describes. In my eyes, that's still a quality purchase. ... show more

I have bought a lot of portable desks, each has some kind of design disappointment, except this one. It is tall enough it isn't sitting on me, it tilts for typing comfort, the legs lengthen, my laptop and mouse doesn't slide off because this one has bumpers to prevent that. Love, love, love!

This works pretty well for me. It appears to be made well and does everything as advertised. Nice and wide, plenty of room for laptop and notebook or tablet. The only thing I don’t like is that if you use it in a cushioned chair with arms, like a family room chair or recliner, the front of the legs hangs of the front of the chair and so is not level. You have to let the back of the desk top lean against your legs to keep it upright, which can get uncomfortable after a while. It works great on a bed, table, ottoman, floor or other large flat surfaces. Unfortunately, I really wanted it to work in my chair. ... show more

This product has been a lifesaver for my new work from home situation! I love that it is adjustable a number of ways. I would, however like to change a couple of things. First, the hand guards. The one for the mouse is great, but the one for the keyboard is AWFUL!!! It's like an inch tall and hard as a brick. I have to remove it to be able to type. You can't really move the mouse one over either, because it is too short to be any use. Second, the mouse area...it's too smooth. This device is intended to be used in beds, couches, and other unstable surfaces. This makes the mouse fly around all over the place and click things it ought not to. Overall this is a great lap desk, tilt adjust and locking mechanism are great. And the legs easily fold up for easy storing. I also really appreciate the handle. The height adjustment works easily but the "locking mechanism" for the height adjustment isn't the most sturdy. Twice now, I've experienced the legs telescope (reducing height) while they were supposedly locked in place. If anything wears down over time, I suspect it will be this part of it. ***Also, I don't recall this being noted in the description of the item but I'm not sure it's suitable for someone that is left-handed. The laptop and mouse rests are removable but not reconfigurable. I'm right handed so this is a non-issue for me, but left-handed folks should be aware. ... show more
