    • Didn't quite live up to the hype, but works ok
I decided to splurge and try this dry shampoo after reading a million different reviews. My main challenge with dry shampoo in the past has been a white powdery finish on my dark hair that doesn't dissipate after brushing. I don't particularly care to have grey roots quite yet, haha. I noticed this seemed to be worse with the cheaper brands, so I had super high hopes with the Living Proof. Meh, I'm not super impressed- I expected a little more performance for the price point. It has a little more of a tacky/powdery texture than I had hoped for. May as well buy drugstore dry shampoo for the same results. But it is usable, has a nice bottle and sprayer, and also smells really nice, so gets 4 stars. But it is not revolutionary for me. I base many of my purchases on Amazon after reading other buyer's reviews and I always try to take the time to leave thoughtful, honest reviews about the products I receive on Amazon.     • Not the real stuff
This is not the real living proof dry shampoo- it doesn’t work at all. The label is in Spanish and the product doesn’t work like the real living proof dry shampoo. Plus you can’t return it.

    • I can skip a day, or even 2
This is the best dry shampoo I've found. I have super-fine hair that tends to flatten out and look greasy if I don't wash every day. This helps me stretch it to a second day easily and sometimes a third. It doesn't leave any residue, and I feel like it effectively makes my hair at least look cleaner. It fluffs it up a bit without having that really noticeable heavy feeling or excessive fluffiness that some dry shampoos leave. The smell is very light, definitely not one of the "deodorizing" dry shampoos, so I'm not sure how it would work to cover up/remove smoke or other smells. Tip: apply at night before bed, and then brush out in the morning. For me, this maximizes the clean look and ensures there's no residue or excess shampoo in my hair. ... show more

I tried dry shampoo once in my past (another brand). Although it worked it was hard for me to get used to not washing my hair everyday. I have thin, fine hair. One day of going without shampoo and I look greasy. I have noticed what seems like more hair fall lately. For this reason I have decided to bite the bullet and decrease my shampooing from everyday. My hope for is that it will help my hair to be healthier and this decrease hair fall. So, now I only shampoo on Monday, Wednesday and Friday notwithstanding special events. This dry shampoo is wonderful. Nice smell. Works wonderfully. Leaves my hair looking fuller. This is nice as my hair is usually flat. I only use the dry shampoo on Tuesday’s and Thursday’s for now. I’m sure things will change once my oil production adjusts. I couldn’t happier with this solution to my challenge thus far. You should definitely give it a go. ... show more

    • Best dry shampoo
I've tried almost every dry shampoo out there, and after trying this one I finally stopped looking around for new ones to try. My biggest frustration with dry shampoos was that it would freshen my hair up, while styling in the morning, but an hour later I would look like a greasy mess. This is not the case with this one. It is white powder, but if your hair is turning white it means you are spraying too close to your hair! If you spray further out, the white coating won't be as intense, and brushes right out! I have very dark brown hair and have never had a problem with this while using this product. The only con I can think of is the smell. It's a bit intense, but it goes away almost immediately. It's just that initial spray that is a bit overwhelming, but luckily it does not linger. ... show more

    • Faulty bottle and won’t spray - Amazon will do nothing about it.
I purchased this dry shampoo on Amazon, used it once and was extremely happy with it. A very little spritz of it, took away any oils and left my hair smelling fresh. The next time I went to use it, it wouldn’t spray at all. I shook the van and there was clearly plenty in it but nothing came out. I made sure the nozzle wasn’t clogged - it wasn’t. Cool. Glad I spent $24 on ahair product that worked once. When I contacted amazon, they wouldn’t exchange it since it’s a “personal product” and was referred to contact the manufacture. It’s been 2 weeks without a single response from Living Proof. What a waste. ... show more

    • Toxic Synthetic Fragrance and Persistent White Residue
If you are sensitive to fragrance at all or suffer from allergies, athsma, or a breathing issue, this is NOT for you. The synthetic fragrance used in this product is toxic, and I doubt the hidden ingredients in the fragrance itself are safe as synthetic fragrance has been shown to be as bad for you as second hand smoking! The smell is TOTALLY overpowering. Aside from that, this is a white powder, with no darker option for brunettes. It really gunks up your hair brushes with the white stuff, which seems to stick to the bristles making it difficult to clean off! At one point, though I sprayed short bursts from far away and brushed and brushed and combed through my hair with my fingers trying to work the stuff into my hair, my male coworker asked me if my hair around my temples was going gray!!! I suffered through using the entire bottle (all the while my husband complained about the “fumes”), and a month later now my hair has an incredible amount of residue in it still! When I blow dry my hair and comb my fingers through it, by the end of the drying session my fingers are covered in a white film now. A MONTH LATER. It’s disgusting. I can’t seem to get it out of my hair completely, so I’ll be doing an apple cider vinegar rinse this week to try to get it out. If you are crafty, you can make your own dry shampoo with arrowroot powder or even chocolate cocoa mix. If not, I recommend the Klorane brand 1,000,000 times more than this product!!! ... show more

Terrible purchase!!! This would be returned, but this item says that it is not eligible for return?! This was supposed to be a new can of dry shampoo, but arrived with no lid and feels nearly empty of product. I paid new price, but looks like I received someone's used product.
