I tried the helmet for just under a year, as instructed. When the pro model came out, I upgraded/exchanged, and paid the difference. I used as instructed for a year. I am also on a lot of drugs and tried the very expensive PRP. My hair is not getting better. I have two diagnoses. AGA and FFA. The company has been extremely responsive.     • Couldn't tolerate the head clamps

I can't tell you if this works or not. I literally had it on my head for 5 mins before I knew I couldn't tolerate the clamps that make the helmet snug on your head. I do not have a large head at all, it's actually on the smaller side, but the clamps hit right above the ears and caused me a lot of pain. It could be that I am more sensitive than others, but if you don't like tight glasses or headbands, then you may experience the same thing. I may check out the more expensive version because I read that it may be more comfortable than this version. ... show more

*** 4 Month Review *** Thank goodness I took before photos! No one ever sees me without my hair piece, so I can’t believe I’m posting photos on Amazon! But until I took my 4 month photos, I really wasn’t sure iRestore was going to work well enough for someone like me, with such significant hair loss. If I hadn’t taken the before photo, I would just be thinking my hair felt healthier and that I now have, what I assume is, a normal amount of hair loss. Honestly, just a few strand now and then when I wash my hair. I never did experience any of the “shedding” that I heard was possible before the new growth started. Which was nice but I wasn’t sure I was experiencing much new hair growth either. But holy smokes…. do you see the difference in my part! If I were a man, or had short hair, the growth would have been so obvious to me. However, I wear my hair long to blend into my hidden hair piece and match the length. I’m not sure if iRestore has made my hair grow faster, but that wasn't my main goal anyway. I need more hair, I need the hair back that I use to have and to stop losing it… and that IS what this crazy piece of technology is doing for me! If you don’t see my 6 month review posted here, it’ll be posted on CircaHair.com / CircaHairLoss.com where I’ll be discussing hair loss and solutions. My hair overall has gotten so thin and fine, to the extent that I have to wear a hairpiece. Most people don't know since I never go out without my handmade hair extension piece. However, if the results I receive are good, I'll be so happy to be able to share with others who suffer the devastation of significant hair loss. I have been trying to post my review. It was all great until my wall plug cracked and it looks like the picture itself. I am not sure why this happened if it was cheaply made and I have not been able to charge my irestore, even before it happened the battery pack would shut down 10 15 mins after I started it. Maybe it was defective idk, but I payed al.osy 600 dollars for this. Not cool.. I have been looking to see how I can get a hold of the company to get a replacement but haven't had luck.has anyone had this issue? Can anyone help me contact them? ... show more

My review is only on the laser cap itself as it is way too early to see results. After much research and reading numerous reviews and ratings, I decided on the iRestore system. For a $500 - $1500 savings, I can afford to wear this cap for a 25-minute session every other day. This is the main difference I see between the iRestore system and the much more expensive systems. The more expensive system feature more lasers with a greatly reduced treatment time where the iRestore system is 25 minutes. I have found that the cap is comfortable to wear and usually don't know that I have it on after the treatment ends (the Lasers and red LED turn off) and I forget I have it on. I do highly recommend getting the battery pack for the small additional expense as it offers great freedom from the power cord. Usually, an outlet is not as conveniently located as it could be, and even with the long power cord that is supplied, sometimes it is still too short. The battery offers the ability to move around during the treatment and not be locked into place. I also get 3 -4 treatments on a single charge. I hope to update this review in the future and that I can show the results. For now, I can recommend this device on its merits. ... show more

Dented my skull wherever its head grippers touched my skull. Didn't help with hair loss. Followed instructions to wear it every other day for 3-6 months... Still losing hair.

I'm writing this review because I read many reviews prior to my purchase and thought I would take a chance on this laser cap... I had been losing my hair for 10 yrs after using meds treating my arthritis, stopped the meds 6 yrs ago but slowly kept losing my hair.. I purchased iRestore with the battery pack on sale for $535.00 which was a great choice because I can move around the house and not stuck to a electric cord... After reading other reviews I also purchased OGX shampoo & conditioner and after 2 months I can actually feel the short hairs mixed in the thinning area getting longer... I hadn't been to my barber in two months with the pandemic and last week my barber confirmed the hair growth of what was only very short hairs before using this laser cap... Hope to get new growth or at least stop more hair loss... I don't know if this will work for everyone but it seems to be working for me and I will write another review after 6 months and attach pictures when it gets thicker... ... show more
