I bought the smallest rug possible to make sure I like it before buying a large version. It isn't bad, but the shag is a little too long for my taste. It feels good on my feet. Seems well made. I shoped this purchase to death on all online stores and regular stores. So when I finally decided on this purchase I held my breath and crossed my fingers. My incentive for purchasing this rug after looking for months was the color (ivory) and the 10 x 13 size. The rug is nice and fluffy and well-made. The reason for four stars rather than five is you can see (if you look closely) that the backing of the rug which should match the the rug color (ivory) but it is gray/black and you can see the backing through the fibers. The size/color and the price was the incentive for the purchase. Knowing what I know I would still purchase this rug. For the price I think it is a great value. Better than other sites and other brands. I bought a rug pad for underneath the rug and ended up not using because it was not necessary so l returned the $90 pad which also brought this purchase to a great price point. I have bought a lot of carpets on Amazon and this is definitely by far the best one. All the others came with creases and puckers and warps and did not lay completely flat. This one is absolutely perfect plus it is thick and plush. You definitely cannot see the backing through the fibers because it is so dense. There has been a little shedding here and there but that's just because it's new. I got the purple color and it is stunning. The other carpets near it are chocolate brown and this one stands out but is not shocking. I am so happy with this piece. This is a very plush rug with extra long fibers. It feels great under my desk if I want to work barefoot. Amazingly stain proof, I have the red version and have used all sorts of strong cleaning chemicals to get cat vomit out of this rug over the last 3 years and there is no visible discoloration or staining. That brings me to the biggest downside of this rug: if you have cats they're going to run to this rug every time they have stomach issues, or a hairball, or it's Tuesday, and put both their front paws on this rug, since it's so comfortable and they need the comfort, before just hurling the latest thing they ate deep into these deep plush fibers. You will tone your arms up cleaning cat vomit out of this rug, lots of scrubbing and pulling to get things clean. I have 2 cats and I've watched both of them get up from the not plush char, walk over plenty of nice easy to clean floors, walk over other, less plush rugs just to get to this one ideal cat vomit receptacle.
