    • Great bag for transporting wet stuff!

I bought the 55L bag in 2019 to help us transport our beach gear. We are a family of 6, so plastic grocery bags are just not adequate for use as wet bags. Our favorite beach is in Maine, and between 3 and 6 of us wear wetsuits on any given trip. The 55L backpack has kept our car safe from all of our grungy, wet beach gear. The 55L barely fits 7 microfiber towels, 6 bathing suits, 5 rash guards, a full length kids size 8 wetsuit, a women's small full length wetsuit, a women's medium shorty wetsuit, a men's XXL full length wetsuit, and a men's XL shorty wetsuit. If I cram it down and roll once, I can just about get it closed. Even when it's packed full of wet stuff, it's pretty comfortable to wear. It's great. Only one part has broken, but it was our fault. We slammed the buckle for the roll top in the car door. It did not survive. I replaced it with a heroclip carabiner, which allows us to hang the bag on a wall while I rinse the gear. I highly recommend this modification. At the end of its 5th summer, some of the coating is starting to wear off of the outside of the fabric. The inner coating is still intact, so the bag is still air and water tight. Considering how often it gets drug across sandy concrete, the durability of this thing is very impressive. We just need to upgrade to the bigger pack now because everyone's wetsuit keeps getting bigger. I'll be buying the 85L version soon ... show more

This bag is great! For only $20 you can get a giant bag that is great quality. The material is strong and the straps and buckles are not pieces of junk. You have to pay attention to the images provided if you are looking for a backpack style dry bag. The 30L+ dry bags all have the backpack straps. If you look at the chart that is available you can see that the 20L dry bags and other smaller bags do not have the backpack style straps. I am excited to use this dry bag and also the phone case that comes with it! Also don’t be one of those people who give a bad review because of user error. For example, if you wanted the backpack style and ordered the 20L size, then you’re not going to get the backpack style. Therefore it is your mistake for not looking thoroughly at all of the sizes available before buying. ... show more

I bought this to use in my kayak when my smaller one no longer worked for me. Really like this! Very visible, buoyant and I love the strap! I attach it to my kayak so it doesn't float away! I can fit a towel, sunscreen, water bottle and first aid kit inside no problem. It's maiden voyage was kayaking Lake Superior and it did not disappoint! Definitely recommend! ... show more

This was heavy with all my stuff (got the big one), and I didn't account for its drag to swim across a small river. When I got tired I thought I'd have to abandon it and my stuff, but it was so water tight I was able to climb on top and make it the rest of the way by using it as a floatation device. We bought this to use on a multi-family float trip in canoes with grand kids in six canoes. Unplanned, we tipped over on the first morning on a tree blown over that totally crossed the narrow swift river. The dry bag performed great.     • Bug spray degrades the bag

The good: Took this bag kayaking and it does its job well, sealing itself with air inside like a balloon. The bad: I used it to carry a few items that don’t necessarily NEED to go in a dry bag (including a spray can of bug repellent). I left the spray can inside the bag for a couple days and the next time I reached for it, I pulled it out with sticky black stuff all over my hand. The bug spray has something in it that deteriorates the black rubber at the bottom of the bag. The bag is great! I’d just warn anyone to avoid putting anything they don’t necessarily NEED in a dry bag inside this bag. ... show more

    • Phone case false sense of security

The dry bag is great and works well. With an airtight seal it will float just fine, used it on a river floating trip. The phone case lends itself a false sense of security, waterproof yes, but does not float. I did not immediately use the lanyard part of the phone case, and it slipped off my tube and I lost my brand new iPhone minutes into my tubing trip. Just remember to put it on your neck or tie it to something before you hit the water. Good purchase though for the price ... show more

The 10l is a good overall size for stuff. I would prefer the one with the outer zipper, too, but didn't see that until after we started using these. You can't go wrong. They're very nice...we have them in yellow and orange.
