  • Fun with a side of "dangerous"...baby arms can get stuck.
Style: Neighborhood Friends
My daughter is now 5 months and does enjoy this jumper/bouncer plaything, however, I've decided to come back on here and write a review after of what happened today. It is potentially hazardous. I compared this to others before purchasing, and did see a review which mentioned one baby's arm getting stuck in a certain area on the jumper. That got my attention, but after continuing to look around I bought this one anyway. My baby enjoys the spinning component, and today, as she was spinning it, her arm came down and DID get stuck in that same area that was mentioned as hazardous in the other review I referenced earlier. Although I never leave my baby unattended while playing in her bouncer, I think it would be prudent for Baby Einstein to redo that design component to be a bit wider, so babys' arms do not get wedged between the tight space. My daughter's arm got stuck 3 times in less than 5 minutes, until I finally just rotated the chair so she could play with the components on the other side instead of that one. Here's the danger, if a parent puts baby in the bouncer, turns away for a moment and baby's arm gets wedged, because of the rotating chair and the pulling while bouncing, I think a little baby arm bone could potentially get fractured. ... show more

  • Hours of entertainment on a sturdy frame with convenient adjustment
Style: Neighborhood Friends
This toy is hours of entertainment for our 7 month old. The seat spins, which makes it easy for baby to switch from toy to toy. I was concerned after some of the reviews that there would be issues with the seat, but there have been none so far. The four hanging points (rather than some that have 3) mean a lot of bouncing and side to side motion on a very secure frame. What is extremely refreshing is that the songs are not out of tune or annoying, which is a HUGE plus for us. The piano has a shapes, songs, and numbers setting with the first two available in english y español. Side #2 has a chewable sunflower and a spinning bird (this baby's personal fav), side #3 is a table, and side #4 is a spinning frog & mirror/beads deal. The beads think makes a lot of noise when baby jumps which seems to be pretty fulfilling. A huge perk is that the bars have loops to attach her favorite toys and books that make them easy to switch on and off. The height is extremely easy to adjust, which is what we didn't like about the Fisher price jumper. There's no turning it upside down; just spin the grips and move it up or down. Everything around the bottom is smooth and safe for baby to crawl around when not in the seat. The bottom is 2.5 ft by 2.5 ft. For long term storage we dissemble the bottom from the top (there are two easy buttons shown in the picture), but this isn't something that we would plan to travel with or store every day. Assembly was pretty straightforward and the parts were well organized; the only hard part was hanging the seat (hint: make sure that the all of the holders are on the same height setting). All and all, one of the best toys we've gotten for baby. We will buy more from this brand. ... show more

  • Very Pissed Off
Style: Neighborhood Friends
I spent weeks looking for the perfect jumper, and like many other moms, it came down to this or the more expensive Fisher Price. SPEND THE EXTRA MONEY AND GO WITH THE FISHER PRICE! I am sitting here trying to figure out how to return this thing because my husband hastily threw away the box it came in after it took him so long to assemble. AFTER THE VERY FIRST DAY, THE PIANO, the main feature that separates this from the Fisher Price jumper, STOPPED WORKING. Changing the batteries didn't help. It just completely tapped out. AFTER THE VERY FIRST DAY. I'm pissed off. I have twin boys, and I don't have money and time for this. But I wanted to make damn sure that no other mothers are duped into buying this. Beyond the piano issue, it overall lacks activities. There's really only the one side that does anything (moves = cause/effect) now and that's the part the twins like to play with. So there's just this huge clunky thing that's sitting around the house and I hate it. ... show more

  • Very practical buy!
Style: Neighborhood Friends
Love it! Got it for our baby girl when she was 4 months old and now she's 6 months old and is still thoroughly enjoying it. The height is adjustable so we had it at its lowest setting when she was 4 months and it was the perfect height. We bought extra plastic toy loops as she couldn't reach the toys at that time. Took her some time to advance to grabbing for the toys that hang from the loops BUT there was plenty within grasp to keep her entertained in the meantime. Took her some getting used to but once she got acclimated with everything she started crying to go IN it. Discovering that the seat swiveled changed the game for her! Tip: some reviewers complained of the seat not moving around well. Just tuck in the fabric at the hem so that it doesn't go past the black plastic and it'll swivel with ease. Now that she's grown 2 month's worth, we've moved it up to the next seating level. VERY easy to move the seating height. We took this on our road trip and found it very easy to collapse and put back up (1 minute to take down and put back up). Love all the little built in toy loops that you can add the plastic loops to and interchange toys. Very boyant and bouncy once they figure it out. Lightweight yet very sturdy and doesn't slide on our tile floors. Wish we would've had his for child #1 and #2 as this is hands down a must have staple. If I had to complain, it would just be that once she starts walking, I will probably put it in storage. However, it may serve as a good way to keep her staying put while I do dishes or fix dinner, etc. - we'll see! ... show more

  • Hours of playtime
Style: Neighborhood Friends
We bought this for our 4 month old grandaughter who is now 6 months old and it's been great for her! She is getting more proficient at playing with the gadgets and can now spin herself around in the seat. I expect she will still enjoy it for several months to come. She plays in it for about 30 minutes at a time, several times per day. Once assembled, it really doesn't come apart for storage, so it's a large toy that needs it's own space. Once she outgrows it we'll get rid of it. It's a worthy investment and fun to watch her skills improve with the gadgets. It's built well, and very sturdy. Good quality. ... show more
