I bought these in 2021 for an indoor/outdoor cat who only had a passing interest in them. I ended up giving some away here and there with positive feedback. Flash forward to 2023 and my latest rehab project (abused rescue cat) ABSOLUTELY LOVES THESE. So much so, I'm having to order another box! They all have a different (or no) rattle which I never gave much thought, but the more noise they make, the happier she is. She has a basket I put her toys in on the daily; these are the ones she consistently fishes out at night. I find them scattered on the bed and now that she's getting more brave, in the far corners of the house, carried during her nocturnal explorations. The eyes, ears and nose are soft felt; I've found pieces on the floor, but I assume they'd pass fine being so small. She only has one tooth but still manages to pull the tails off. Some seem to come off easier than others, but no specific color is worse or better and it takes a week or two. Overall, despite the two year gap in buying and putting these to use, I am quite happy with them and thrilled one of my rescues has found so much joy in them. ... show more

One of my cats loves rattle mice. Or rather, he loved a prior batch of rattle mice that he has nearly hunted to extinction. You get a fair number of mice in this product, and they seem to be very similar to the kind my cat loved. But, alas, he has deemed them inferior rattle mice. Perhaps there is slightly less of a rattle to these, and they are slightly fuzzier. Whatever the issue, my cat will still chase these ones when thrown and they have held up well--but he will not toss them around on his own and enjoy them. Both of my cats (3 yrs and 5yrs) love these mousies! The mice are durable and there’s enough in the box that they can play (bat them around the house) for several months before I have to buy more, and their favorite thing is the rattle each mouse has when you shake it. Do you want your cat to call CPS (Cat Protective Services)? How long are you going to mistreat your cat by depriving her of this necessity of life? My cat daughter and sons are all 14 years old and lay around a lot. None of them have ever had a job and just live off me. They don't do any chores around the house and are sometimes disrespectful. If their dinner is one minute late or not to their liking they give me "the look." I thought the family needed more energy, so I recently adopted a kitten. One of my boys plays with the baby on occasion (if he thinks no one is watching), but not enough for her. She plays with me, but I have to work during the week and she needs something to do when I am not here. Her daddy is busy with the puppy (Search & Rescue training) and spends most of his time with "that dog." Our 8 1/2 week old Tesseract (or Tessa - the new baby) would play with 10 month old Waylon (that dog), but she only weighs 2 lbs and he weighs 87 lbs. She needs a few more months growth before she can handle him. When Tessa arrived, we dug out an old box of cat toys that haven't been played with in years. There was one rattle mouse from probably 30 years ago in the box. Tesseract grabbed it and it is her favorite toy. I spend a lot of time every day searching under everything for it, so I decided to buy more. Unfortunately, I have been unable to find the same mice. I thought this one might be close (except for the solid colors) so I took a chance and bought a box. I specifically did not want any with catnip - I don't think it is a good idea to get my babies high. These fit the bill. When the Amazon package arrived, Tesseract tried to open the outer packaging by herself. I opened it and the mice were in a sturdy cardboard box that was sealed in plastic. I gave Tessa one mouse of each color and the fun began! She ran around carrying and batting mice while purring loudly for about 2 hours by herself! There are mice everywhere now - in the bathroom, hallway, kitchen - even in my bed! We have a small sun-porch (actually the cats do - my husband and I get "the look" when we go out there) where many a lazy day is spent. I threw one mouse of each color in there also. I got "the look." Strangely, I could hear banging and jumping coming from that sun-porch when I wasn't looking. Maybe we have a ghost? I made one huge mistake with this order. I thought I ordered the box of 60, but it was the box of 36. I know I will have to order more or spend my off hours searching for mice. Tessa knows where they are , but hasn't figured out how to get them out from under furniture yet. Don't deprive your cat babies of this necessity! Maybe you won't end up with lazy, unemployed, disrespectful children who give you "the look." Well, at least you can try. ... show more

I like how many you get in a box since they eventually all get hidden. My cat loves them. They rattle so he comes running when he hears it shake.

These are a great cheap option for toys! Our kittens were all over the place and we needed something for them to do. We got these and they love them. Keep hiding all over the place but have a blast with them. A little noisy so if don’t like noisy toys wouldn’t grab but we don’t mind.
