After scouring the internet for recliners I kept coming back to this model. I don't perform impulse purchases without researching and reading the comments. So what I can offer from my experience is the following: A) Other people say this is difficult to assemble. Only took me 10 minutes tops. Very simple. Tools might be basic but that is why you have tools available at home that will make the process easier. B) Directions are difficult to read. It can be but this is not rocket science at all. There are literally two bolts and nut for the base of the chair. It can be a little tricky to align but not a deal breaker. The ottomon for the chair is simple - four bolts and insert the metal stem into the base. Very simple.. Now, I do understand if people who might be disabled or physically challenged might have difficulty. But for the average person shouldn't take long to assemble. Ten minute top C) For connecting the wires and vibrating. PEOPLE - read and listen up! This is not a deep tissue message unit. The information on the product states this. If you want one of those big fancy chairs that does this - spend more money and reserve your negative comments. For the most part, it vibrates and is lite but it is a nice option to have. One of the reasons why I went this route vs. the non-standard recliner. D) Comfort Cushy Chair - The chairs I have had in the past were your basic desk chair upright and cheap fabric. I wanted to spend a few more dollars on this for comfort. At first, I didn't really care for the chair but not I find it totally relaxing. Actually fell to sleep in the chair last night after a long week at work. Didn't expect this and had a nice snooze.. E) I love the swivel - smooth and quiet F) Only thing I would like to see in this model chair is height adjustment. My computer desk that I manufactured out of hard pipe desktop is a little higher than the chair. So I do have a couple of options is lower the desk to match height of the chair or look for a add on for the chair base to raise it higher. Not a real dealer breaker honestly because I still have options. G) The Smell - the first couple of days the smell was intense and found my eyes watering at times. After three days it was less noticeable and not has potent. From what I read others have used vinegar or fabreeze on the chair to lessen the smell. I really don't think you will need to go that far. Place the chair outside or in the garage when you leave for work. Let it sit to breath and bring back in. I didn't do this and left in my computer room. Again, after three days you hardly notice it. Would I buy this chair again? Probably - for the price, comfort, and style I am happy with my investment. ... show more

I work from home and wanted a comfortable chair with ottoman! I assembled this chair in apx. 30 minutes and the only hard part was aligning a couple screws . It looks great and feels great as well. Echoing a couple other reviews the massage feature isn't a deep massage but it is still nice and the heat feature works very well. I would totally recommend this product. ... show more

This chair is great. Here’s my overview: Assembly: I am 4’10 and 85lbs and I put two of them together. Hard part is aligning the upper portion and lower portion to bolt together. - hint: use Allen wrench to wedge holes in place for bolts. Condition: looked new, but stored for awhile. One was very dusty. No tears or anything. Color: I ordered brown and am deeply disappointed. It is a reddish brown that looks a bit fake and stands out next to my espresso and brown couch. But am keeping both of them anyways because this really was the only downfall for me. Size and Function: Nice and compact, but does have a shorter cord so you should be next to an outlet. Swivel is smooth and stiff but easy. Same with the recliner, easy and smooth while staying in position. The massage is great with the different levels of intensity that are actually intensified significantly by the end. The preset modes are funny, but okay. No “wave” which I was disappointed in. But still nice. - Massage ottoman is cool for sure. The only downfall here is that the remote feels a bit cheap, but that’s just whinnying. Overall: Very comfortable chair with thick padding that has good intense vibration and reclines almost completely... easy nap chair that looks good and is functional! I only wish the color brown was a bit more of a true brown instead of the reddish clay brown. ... show more

***EDITED*** My once overly enthusiastic and happy boyfriend who loved this probably more than me is absolutely devastated now. I am so disappointed in this chair and the company. My boyfriend loved this chair so much. He has sat in it probably every single day since Christmas when I got it for him. No issues, we raved to everyone we know about it. That is until last night when he looks at me and says, “honey, did you see that? My chair is wobbling” I asked him what he meant and he says it just kind of wobbled. We flipped it over and the entire bottom of the chair was completely broken with no sign of damage or warning. Completely snapped. We called the company number today hoping they could help us fix it or worst case scenario we buy another base. Their answer, “sorry, once it’s out of our warehouse, it’s out of our problems”. I was completely shocked. Her suggestion was to “buy another chair”. So we will be buying another chair but not this one. We will now have to call all of our friends that we raved about this chair to and have them return theirs. We are extremely disappointed with all of this. 6 months with this chair and it’s completely useless now. DO NOT BUY THIS CHAIR. ... show more

I’m gonna give the overall review a 3 just because the chair doesn’t feel cheaply made and is actually good quality. I bought this for my husbands game room. And I was able to assemble it in less than 30 minutes. Super easy instructions, chair is super comfortable, and is a large chair I’m 5’11 and my husband is 6’2 and we fit perfectly. The reason I’m giving it 3 stars is because we may have gotten a defective chair because it doesn’t massage it jus vibrates. So I’m not sure if something is broken since all the other reviews had great comments on it and nothing negative towards the massaging area. The seller/ and Amazon were great about getting me a replacement so as soon as I do I’ll be sure to give an updated review on weather I got a defective chair or that’s how it “massages.” I seriously can’t wait I’m so excited and hopefully it actually massages!! ... show more
