  • It’s very boue
Size: 43-Inch
Get ready for blue, blue and more blue. And dimness. And constant non-initiated restarts. We’ve had this TV for a few years, but quality has always been poor as far as contrast goes, and it’s strayed into completely blue territory. Maybe Eiffel 65 has taken over our television. If you like a blue tv with no contrast and dim visibility, you’ll love this tv. If you want more, avoid. Also we tried rebooting the tv to remediate the contrast and color issues and were left with a tv that refused to connect to wifi temporarily. The remote is tedious, single click, multiple clicks required for controls. It was engineered circa 2017; choose something newer if you want technical sophistication. ... show more

  • Great tv but have intermittent prodblems
Size: 49-Inch
I have had my TV for about a month now (49UJ6300) and really enjoyed the picture quality and size of the screen. I am finally able to read the smaller print that is displayed. My previous tv was an LG 26in flat screen whose picture was great but not as crisp at this tv and the smaller print in the DVR guide was too small. I love the faclt that i can view Netflix and Amazon Prime videos. 10/12/2018 update The TVs remote is too basic and make a drudgery out of adjusting setting. It is very disappointing voice remote isn’t available for this TV. Also it makes no sense to have this dumb remote for a smart TV! One problem That just started to occur today is that all of a sudden the sound shuts off. It took me a while to realize it wasn’t the TV station. I finally out of desperation hit the volme up button and saw the volume increase from 0 juntil the sound came back. I sent email to the seller and we’ll see what the responses are. Another problem that I’ve had is that one powering the TV on after being off for several hours, the screen would come on but the picture would be all broken up or pixelated. The problem clears itself after several seconds. Overall I’m pretty satisfied with the TV and wait to see what the next few weeks bring. Feb 2018 UPDATE — SCREEN FLICKER AND VOLUME PROBLEMS started to annoy me so I callled the vendor and they replaced the TV. New tv did not have those problem. But after a few months, the replacement tv had a problem where intermittently the #creen would go blank,, power off/on brought picture back, but after a time it took several power off/on to get the screen to come back. Now I’m face possibly a 2nd replacement. WHAT IS HAPPENING TO LG QUALITY CONTROL? ... show more

  • Great TV but Control your Data Usage While Streaming
So far this has been a really nice TV with many features that will take some time for me to learn. This TV along with any other 4K TV is going to chew up your data when viewing 4k programming, so watch out. I use the top of the line Roku 4 with this TV and the ROKU 2 for my other 1080p TV. From 2005 until 2015 I cut the cord and had internet only. This is when I first began using the Roku Streaming Device, my first being the Roku 1. In addition I use a Wiengartz amplified digital flat antenna that gives me about 35 local over the air channels that is nice to have when the cable and internet go out in a storm. I have a 1 terabyte cap on my Data Usage, so with the 4K programming it will go through the Data rather quickly. I have Netflix and a few other premium channels. Luckily you can adjust the bit rates on both the Roku and Netflix. I have a picture quality much more than satisfactory when scaling back the Data Consumption, and not realizing a quality loss. You need to watch this usage closely not to go over the cap if you have one. Using an average 30gb a day or less I can stream all day and night when scaling back the Bit Rate and still enjoy this TV. For the price of this 2017 model and quality of picture I don't think I could go wrong. I have this paired with a new mid-range Onkyo 4K receiver and my mid-range surround sound system, and it is most enjoyable. I gave this a four star rating as I have not had the TV long enough to understand its capabilities and its long term use. ... show more

  • Great TV. Only problem is any movement at all ...
Size: 43-Inch
Great TV. Only problem is any movement at all blurs the picture just a bit. I tried every setting with no different results. (Most noticeable on a football field. when they show a closeup of a player and the camera moves just a bit, the grass goes from being crystal-clear to blurry and then back to clear again when the camera stops moving.) Great sound right out of the box for a flat screen TV. LG has the best sound compared to others right out of the box. I decided against getting a sound bar. Really don't need it with this TV, but that's my preference. Others may still want to upgrade the sound. The apps are great and the 4K videos on youtube are spectacular to say the least! No blurring at all when watching in 4K. HDR effect also works very well. LEAVE THE 60 Hz REFRESH RATE OFF! ONLY USE THAT FEATURE FOR SPORTS OR MAYBE CARTOONS. IF YOU USE IT FOR ANYTHING ELSE, IT MAKES IT LOOKED AS IF FILMED LIKE A SOAP OPERA. NEVER USE IT WHILE WATCHING MOVIES! I use this TV as my computer monitor and a TV. Just be sure when you use it as a computer monitor, you lower the brightness as to not burn images into the screen. The 'smart' level of this TV is very good!. Once set, it will automatically reduce brightness and back light levels when switched over to HDMI 2 (which is the other HDMI input I use when switching from DirecTV to computer monitor.) It will automatically switch back to the picture mode you had it set on for TV watching when you're finished using it as a computer monitor and switch HDMI input settings using the remote control. ... show more
