This chair was very easy to assemble and initially appears pretty well made (time will tell as I sit for long periods). The 4 star rating is only due to the slope at the front of the seat that causes you to feel like your sliding out of the chair (without the support of your feet against the bar). This was intended to reduce fatigue & increase circulation, I get it but, maybe the seat base could be an inch or so deeper. Otherwise, this would easily be a 5 star product because of the ergonomic back support and rotating arm rests which are the best features of the chair. I purchased separate roller-blade style wheels to see if they will roll better on laminate flooring without scuffing or marking and will see how that goes once the flooring is finished. Overall, I would Highly recommend this chair if you like a significant height adjustment and look for ways to support standing while using the chair as a rest. ... show more

I finally settled on this chair after debating days and hours and was sad to have received it and found that the backrest was torn. It actually looks like another photo that someone took of the same issue which makes me wonder if I received that one. Do yourself a favor before unwrapping everything and check the backrest first, possibly the seat too which I didn't even bother to unwrap. The parts felt nice and solid but I was shocked at the lack of protection in the packaging when there are parts made of mesh that can easily be ripped. If you happen to luck out and get one that is not damaged then consider yourself lucky. Sadly, for this price I cannot overlook a small tear and have already processed a return. I'm debating ordering this again but overall felt that it would have been a great chair. ... show more

I was nervous about buying a chair online. also buying one that costs so much money. I normal buy office chairs at the goodwill. but as I get older my spine pain is getting worse, and it's so hard for me to find a chair that doesn't hurt my back (I have Sponlilthesis). but I tried the payment options and said Meh lets see. I am so glad I did this chair is awesome! oh also I wanted to get this drafting chair because I love to cook at home and make things from scratch, so I have to be standing on my feet for hours when you consider the dishes clean up that's a good 5 hours. so it's been painful. so I wanted a drafting chair so I could roll dough, do dishes etc. with comfort. and this thing is a dream! it has never caused back issues. it is the perfect Hight! the shocks are AWESOME! I am very over weight as well as I have a muscular build (I weight lift) so I weigh a good 280 pounds and this thing so far has been a good sport lol. I am very carful though, cause I do believe I am outside of its weight limit, but so far it has supported me great! So this old gal is very thankful to the manufactures for making my life that much better. ... show more

Doesn't go as high as it should for "counter height" but that is my fault for not measuring what I needed as a height. Seat attachment had very difficult to screw in attachment point (tested each of the supplied screws and it was always only one spot with the issue. Screws were fine. Handles are not adjustable and are not even after installation (Might be a manufacturer defect). The attached arms are about a half inch different in height from each other. Metal foot ring must be made for giants (I'm 5'8" and if you follow the instructions, the metal ring should only be as high as 1" from the top of the attachment point so my feet don't touch when I sit). Ultimately a useless ring for me. Height is too low for a standing table. Too high for a normal seated chair. Not sure who is the right height for this product. I assembled it after the return period. Again, my mistake but highly highly advise against purchasing this chair based on the poor construction, uneven handle height, poor foot ring positioning requirements. Positives. From start to finish assembly was super easy and it did not need 2 people to assemble, I did it by myself in about 30 minutes. I’ve been looking for the right chair for months for my stand up desk and this one is it!! The height adjustment is perfect so if I wanted to drop it down I can this chair was exactly what I’ve been needing for my back, legs and sheer comfort to work all day. I did not use the factory wheels and installed the recommended upgrade. Factory wheels would not work on the tile floors. Comfort is good, adjustable is perfect as I switch depending on task at hand.
