I hung up these in the evening and my bedroom window gets full, direct sun. I didn’t take anything off the window ledges so that I could see shapes if they were thin and didn’t block 100% or even 90 or 80% of the light but as soon as I hung them up… The room got significantly cooler and darker. The price is good. They came straight out of the package and the wrinkles are almost nonexistent. The thickness is decent. Seams are straight, and they definitely hang nicely. I’m considering getting a second set to hang on the same Rod so that it will be definitely black and there will be more gathers in the curtains… But if you’re on the fence, at least give it a shot. ... show more

I also wanted curtains that would block light from seeping out and making my windows visible from the street. They do that too.
