Shipping The first one I got had to be returned because it constantly rattled while it was on. They said they wouldn't charge me for shipping it back to them, but they didn't refund my full original purchase price. They kept about $8. The second one arrived without a box (I'm not joking), but it worked and doesn't rattle so I've kept it. Been using it for about a week so far. Pros - Large filter that will (hopefully) last a long time. - Silent. Sounds like wind or a distant ocean surf. Very soothing to sleep by. - Doesn't add a fake 'clean' smell to the air like some ionizers I've had. Cons - No remote control. - No scheduling or programming. - No memory. When you turn it off and back on again it will always be at Fan Level 2 and Light Level 0. - You can not use a power adapter with a timer. Power / Alexa The one thing I personally don't like about this is that the power button is not a physical switch (and the default is "off"). I was wanting to plug this into a WiFi power outlet connected to my Echo so I could ask Alexa to turn it on and off. But when you remove the power to this unit and reapply it, it goes off and stays off until you manually press the button on the top again. It can not be rigged to be voice activated. Likewise, there is no way to create any sort of external usage schedule. Light I don't plan on using the night light but I did test it. The light is a pale blue-white. It only has 3 settings: Off, Bright and Dim. At the Bright level it is not bright enough to read by, even when you're right beside it. There's no way to make the light go off automatically when the light level in the room is high. It would be useful if it went off during the day and only came on at night - like every other nightlight made these days. Overall Besides my shipping problems and personal hang-ups with the device, it is a solid machine. It's inexpensive. Small. Lightweight. And you get more than what you paid for. It's not the most technologically sophisticated thing, but it will clean the hell out of some air and it will do it quietly. UPDATE: Original post was Feb.2018. Now it's Dec.2018. After running it every single day at Level 2 and 3 - for about 10 months - it finally told me I needed to replace the filter. I can't believe it lasted that long. It's been a hard little worker. I am beyond impressed at Amazon's ability to deliver quality refurbished products, and I encourage you t not be afraid to save a few dollars by risking it, and getting one, too. Even though the box wasn't easy on the eye... this product looked untouched, without any scratches or signs of use, and it's had 0 issues running almost nonstop ever since it got here. This air purifier is not only an excellent product for its price tag.... It is also INCREDIBLY aestetic. The blueprint is small, the appearance is seamless & looks fantastic for an appliance sitting out in plain sight... and the noise-level & night lights are LOVELY!! It's almost like a white noise machine, and the blue hues are a beautiful, subtle hue that makes a room so lovely before bed. I'm glad I purchased the product. My only complaint is the fact that it doesn't purify my entire living space, but that's not to be expected, as the product clearly labels the square footage its capable of cleansing, and I'm over that quota. Easy to use. A bit loud on medium or high speed. Low is quit. Vent intake is at the very bottom so this product needs to be raised sit on a table etc.

This compact unit is unobtrusive and silent. The glowing light can be turned off, but it works as a nightlight if left on. We leave it running all day, and it sends out a small visible mist that feels slightly warm and dry when I pass my hand thru it. I fill it once in the morning, again at dinner and before going to sleep. Once when left to run dry, it turned off appropriately. There are various buttons for programming, but the instructions are written in Engflush, and not decipherable. However, I see no need to automate and will use it raw. ... show more

I got this a few weeks ago for my bedroom. The air has been super dusty ever since a massive cleaning sent dust flying from every hard to reach book and cranny. While reading the setup guide. I saw that it couldn’t go within 15” of an obstruction on any side. I decided to place it near my laundry hamper and bedroom door. Within a day I noticed that my room smelled much better (I had apparently gone nose blind to the laundry smell) but the air quality wasn’t any better. In fact, dust seemed like it was floating around more than ever. In the next few weeks I noticed if I brought a cup of water to my room, within a few hours it would get little dust floaters coating the top of the cup. I saw a picture of someone else’s review that put the filter on top of a tall piece of furniture. Yesterday, I decided to try that-maybe it would help. Immediately, I noticed things were way worse. I could barely breathe, coughing and choking on all the dust flying through the air. So I sat and thought about it-why is this happening?? If the filter made the smell go away then why is it making the dust worse??? Then it clicked, the dust was getting sucked through the air to the filter, flying around everywhere, before the filter would even get a chance to clean it out. I investigated, where was the dust doming from, and it occurred to me, the supply air duct. Sure enough, once I took the vent off I could see a pile of dust or dirt and grime at the bottom of the vent. I cleaned the vent out as best I could, and moved the filter next to the vent. This morning I woke up with no dust floaters in my water cup and the air feels easier to breathe. My next step if I still have problems will be to get the air ducts in the house professionally cleaned. ... show more

I bought this because I was expecting a baby and wanted her room to have cleaner air, and WOW. This is perfect for night feeds because there’s a little button on top that turns on a blue light, it has a bright and dim setting. I can just use this instead of a nightlight, and it doesn’t affect the filter at all! so handy :) This machine can also double as a white noise machine, and if you have a fan in your room (which can decrease SID’s) it blends in well :) ... show more
