We just got a new truck a few months ago and on our first camping trip with it we quickly learned how much of a pain it is to feel like you have to move things like child carrier backpacks etc into the cab of the truck to secure it if you stop somewhere for lunch. We had a three week road trip to Utah and Canada planned and I knew we’d want a good tonneau cover to secure our cargo in the bed of the truck and keep it dry. After a lot of research on tonneau covers I settled on getting this one and can honestly say I couldn’t be much happier. While on our 5,000 mile round trip we drove through wind and torrential rain at times and everything in the bed stayed dry. Even after raining for two days straight in Canada. I did use the included drain tubes and had them drain out the holes drilled in the plastic plugs they tell you to drill through in the instructions. With getting up to 85 mph on some roads and with crosswinds I never had any problems with the cover rattling in the wind like I had heard one reviewer talk about. I think it may have been a fluke or possibly a different method of installation that may have given them the problem. Having the BackFlip Tonneau cover was a game changer for us and my wife and I were both so glad I had insisted on getting it before our trip. It was pretty easy to install on my 2020 Ford F150 and I had it installed within about an hour and a half including the time it took to find tools etc. It looks really clean and sleek and really serves its purpose quite well.     • Not Worth the Money - Honest Review
The cover has suited my needs, but is not worth the money. I have used it for 8 months. It rolls up nicely and latches onto my f150 well. I like how the cover sits flush with the bed. I do not like the straps for when it is rolled up. They seem flimsy and I can see them breaking in the future. They also do not stay tight so the cover moves slightly when it is rolled up. My biggest complaint about it is the rear plastic caps. One arrived broken and the other broke off after 2 months of use. For spending over $1000 on a cover, this should not happen. I would not buy this again and would choose a more affordable option if I were to buy another roll up cover. I have been in contact with BAK directly and I am waiting on a response or solution to the problem. UPDATE: I contacted BAK directly and they sent two sets of replacement caps for the cover free of charge. They seem to have updated them, but they still feel somewhat flimsy. ... show more

Easy to install by yourself. Fit I excellent if you take your time, pay attention to detail and strive for a professional look. It took me about forty-five minutes to install by myself. Only common hand tools needed to install. When the order was received everything was inventoried for correct count and damage. One piece of hardware was missing and I immediately notified the manufacturer. I spoke with a representative in order to have the product corrected. The missing part was determined and I was assured the part would be sent out the next day. Well two months later I am still waiting! This cover was registered for warranty purposes the day I received it. I do like the look of the cover and the protection it offers. One thing I would recommend has to do with the opening of the panels. The way it operates you have to pull the release on both sides of a panel in order to open it. This is a challenge on the middle panel and the panel that is closest to the cab. In order to open these two panels is either get in the bed and grasp both cables (right and left side) to disengage the locks or have a person on the opposite side of the truck to assist you. Overall this is a very good and well made product. I have been on the interstate and rough roads, the unit stays in place, no movement. I would highly recommend this product to someone looking for a well made quality product. Bak-Flip I would have given you five stars if you would have been responsive to assuring I received the missing parts. ... show more

I read the reviews and saw people complaining about it not keeping your bed dry. I'm thinking those people didn't do a great install. This bed cover has kept my bed 95% dry. Minimal water gets in when there's a heavy rain near the tailgate and sometimes on the edge of the bed. It doesn't really bother me. I keep my generator in my bed sometimes and needed something to keep it dry and this fits the bill. It's also nice to leave things in the bed and not have to worry about security. It's a little pricey, but I'm hoping to keep it for years. If you need something that will 1. keep your bed dry, 2. last longer than a couple of years, this seems like the cheapest option. Truly easy to install, easy to roll up and unroll. No worrying about alignment of bars under a sheet of plastic that almost always flaps when driving. I had a broken corner piece on the one I received. I called BAK Customer Service and they got the order for the replacement piece submitted right away. I think the attachments for the frame to the truck bed need to be improved. Seems a little insecure. Overall I like the bed cover. Might be a little pricey compared to other bed covers.
