I had a one-piece tilt-up tonneau cover on my 2017 Raptor. It never leaked, but was overall inconvenient, because the truck could only be driven with the cover down, limiting the height of cargo to that of the bed. When I got my 2023 Raptor, I researched the literally dozens of available covers and chose the BakFlip. The installation video was really good. The dude in the video doing his one-man install must be a lot stronger than me, as I found lifting the cover onto its rails pretty hard, albeit I managed it alone. It would be very easy with two people just for a couple of minutes to place the cover. The video plus installation manual made the install pretty straightforward. I expected a little water leakage with a foldable cover, and that's what I got: in heavy rain, there are drips, but not a torrent, which is fine. The only oddity was that, in addition to the well-packaged small parts for the install, the package contained what look like two large bags of IKEA furniture fasteners and dowels. Hey....free parts. The top was easy to install and it looks good. The drains don't seem to capture all the water but it stays pretty dry even through a car wash.

It’s a good product. Price is reasonable. Feature allowing it to be positioned against the back glass, clearing the majority of the bed for cargo, is really nice. The construction is good and solid. Installation isn’t bad, but it would be easier with two people. Need to plan on adding weatherstripping to areas, as needed. The weatherstripping included wasn’t enough for my truck, so I used some extra I had on hand. I would recommend and buy this product again. ... show more

I can't believe how easy this was to install. Went on easy and fit my truck perfectly. Seems to fit flush all around but haven't had in wet weather yet. My old cover had some water leakage so I expect this one will as well. Not water proof, just water protected for the most part. If you expect more than that get a hard cover. It looks great and folds up pretty easily, not sure how it will ride folded all the way with clamps but will find out. I will update as I get more use out of it. Heading on a ski trip next week so should have some input after that. ... show more

I have a co-worker with one of these, he loves it. I ordered one and mine didn’t have the hardware in the box. I am currently waiting for customer support and I will see if I can get it quickly to change my rating. I changed the stars from 1 to 3, but this has nothing to do with KART IT. See explanations below: KART IT has given bad customer support, they seem to be a middle man, I would suggest working directly with BAK Industries. I understand sometimes you can have a glitch with quality control and they missed the hardware. I responded same day I received the bed cover, but I received no response for a while, so I contacted BAK Industries directly. They asked for the model and serial number and got things rolling. A week later KART IT (the seller) contacts me and asks about my truck model and make. I informed them this info was on my order already, seemed like a way to just postpone my replacement or just not show a lack of interest in my order. I received my hardware from BAK Industries and have installed my bed cover and been using it a week. I just received another message from KART IT to tell me they have finally ordered my hardware for my bed cover to come in about 3-4 days. This is ridiculous from KART IT. BAKflip MX4 is a great product, the quality looks to be good, and the install was easy, and easy to use. Fit and function has been very good. I would recommend it. ... show more
