The GP Hero 7 Black still drains faster than it's predecessor, however it is no longer dead within two days. Previously I used a SanDisk Extreme 128, a card that my GP 5 Session and 6 Black have ZERO issue with, but the 7 has died in standby within 2-4 days the entire time I have owned it!! As ever, the SanDisk micro storage card is fast and reliable; however, the adapter that comes with it is not the same quality as the same item used to be. The adapter got stuck in a laptop SD card slot & was difficult to remove. Maybe this adapter was the bad one in a million, but my prior experience with similar adapters has been that they were indistinguishable from SD cards in terms of material and form factor. This adapter will work with an external USB stick that contains a slot to adapt an SD card for a USB port — but I can't trust using the SD adapter it with a laptop insert slot again! ... show more

I have used a lot of SSD and cards. SanDisk is the best hands down. I own at least 5 of their USB drives and 10 SSD, and 6 cards . The only reason for me to buy new one is because I need more storage space. Never had one fail unlike all the other "big" name companies...

SanDisk memory cards are the best quality cards in my opinion, BUT they are pricier than others so you pay for that quality. The price difference to me though is worth it for the purposes I am using it. Other run if the mill uses then other cheaper brands may be a better choice.
