  • Worth it
Color: Silver
I like this because it is metal, small, controllable, and o-rings. The first thing I did when I got it was to let the air out of my front tire to test it. For those who have not used this before, you should know that to trigger it required me to cross my thumbs on the outside of the tire and clasping my fingers over the canister and trigger and squeeze pretty hard. The (shrader) valve will sink in from the pressure and you won't hear much of a hiss or rushing air like you would at the gas station air pump. One 16g will fill my 700X35 to about 110psi and I have to let out air to get it to where I need it. One of the canisters I ordered was mostly a dud but would have had enough gas in it to get me home. So It don't hurt to carry 3 and a pump. I tried this 3 times until I had the hang of it. Rumor has it that CO2 molecules leak through the innertube and you have to eventually replace lost gas with air. If that's the case, I will update this if I can. I would have given it a 5 if it had a readable gauge attached but that would be more money and larger item for the seat bag. This is probably as good as it gets for this type system. I didn't want a pump because they wear out when you need it the most and I won't be going out of cell service area too often. One last thing - I think if you screw the inflator onto the valve first and then screw in the canister it is a lot easier. Update: 3 days later I check the tire pressure and; The rumor is true, you will need to refill with air but not that much. The tires at 90psi after I filled with C02 and when I checked it three days later both were near 70psi. IMO Co2 system is only for making roadside emergencies easier. ... show more

  • Great little emergency air supply

This is a wonderful item to keep with you on those long bike treks that can be a lifesaver in the event of a tire problem. Compared to a conventional pump, it's way smaller and lighter to carry, and should you need it, it will have you on the road again in just a few seconds. It's a small, solid unit that looks like it would last forever. Machined nicely and precisely, it fits all of the tires I've tried it on easily and securely, operating without leaks or other problems. I've tried three brands of CO2 cartridges and they've all fit perfectly. As other reviewers point out, you need to watch the O-ring. Mine came out the first time I tested it...a thin coating of vaseline seems to have helped it seat better and it hasn't happened since. If you have aging, arthritic hands like mine, it's also a terrific way to inflate your tires without coming the aches and pains a conventional pump causes. You do need a fair bit of strength to operate the trigger, but for me it's easier than the grip and motion a conventional pump requires. I did find that the 16g CO2 cartridges are marginal...definitely recommend the larger 25g ones instead. ... show more

  • One of the best
Color: Silver
The sun is going down. You puncture about 5 miles from home. You put in a fresh tube, and go to inflate it with your CO2 cartridge. The inflator leaks, and you're left with a soft tire and no more cartridges. This is what happened the last time that I used my plastic CO2 inflator. I swore that I would find a better one, and I did. The Lezyne Trigger Drive is a beautifully constructed adaptor that uses no plastic. It uses double o-rings to seal the cartridge, and the screw-on valve fits presta and schraeder tubes. To operate it, you thread the cartridge to the unit, and then thread it onto the valve. Pressing down on the cartridge inflates the tire. I know it works better than other inflators because, with the same 16g cartridge, my tire ended up with more PSI when I used the Lezyne. Why not five stars? It can be a little awkward threading the unit onto some presta valves. ... show more

  • Handy and very good design. Rather vague instructions.
Color: Black
I tried this on my hybrid bike (700 x 28) and got good results with a single cartridge. Since this is my first time with a CO2 inflator, I found the instructions was a bit confusing as it indicated + & - with directional arrows to the left and right. I thought those meant turn the nozzle left or right to inflate or deflate. So the arrows mean to screw on & out -- which is very obvious with the design. How about a simple, "push to inflate"? Since it's very small, very handy and I always carry it during my long rides together with a manual one -- just in case. ... show more

  • Works great! Can be used with a compressor.
Color: Black
This C02 pump does not disappoint! It got me out of a jam more than once. I bought a compressor fitting and I can use it with my presta valves on my compressor. Would buy again if I need to.

  • I love these!
Color: Silver
With my entire family mountain biking, including kids on mountain bike teams, we need a lot of gear. I have four of these now, and there are reasons I keep buying them... they're super tiny and light, and they are great to use. I know people with inflators that are a little easier to use, but they're HUGE. I know that non-threaded CO2 bottles are cheaper, but the inflators for them are HUGE. This is SO tiny and light... it's worth the trade-offs. ... show more

  • Total waste of money.
Color: Black
I wanted to love this. Suck a great idea, but it literally worked one time and the plastic mechanism to release the air became stuck. This must be a common issue because the newer models are made of metal where this one is plastic. By the way, even though it says it’s returnable, when you try to return it, it says it’s not eligible for return due to the pressurized cartridge. They can safely ship it out, but it’s unsafe to return. ... show more

  • Works great, but it unscrewed my valve core upon removal.
Color: Black
This is a great light and small CO2 inflator - quick and easy to repair a puncture on the road. The only problem I had is that the inflator seats so well on the presta valve that when I removed it, it partially unscrewed the valve core and I lost about 40 pounds of pressure before I could hand-tighten it. I only had one CO2 cartridge left, so I had to head home not knowing if the valve core would hold. Plus, I was down way too much on tire pressure to ride safely. ... show more
