  • Reasonably sturdy desk for small area
This desk arrived on time and was relatively easy to assemble. I have it set up in the corner of my spare bedroom, and it fits the area nicely. I was able to place my computer on the middle section of the desk, which works beautifully for my needs. This desk does not have a slide-out keyboard tray, which I don’t mind. You won’t miss the slide-out keyboard tray at all if you’re using this desk with a laptop, anyway. I am using it with a desktop, but I prefer to have the keyboard up higher anyway, so that my wrists aren’t bent at awkward angles. There was a warning label on the middle section of the desk which states that the device isn’t meant to hold more than 25 pounds. I am not sure if the sticker meant just the middle section of the desk, or the entire thing, but my most reasonable guess would be the entire thing. The 25 pound limitation is of no consequence to me; the desk holds my computer monitor, a desk organizer with many pens, etc., file dividers, and a laminator, and some other miscellaneous office supplies, just fine. It can be slightly shaky if I accidently roll into the side of the desk with my office chair, if I type too vigorously, there can be slight vibration. The desk isn’t solid oak, it’s a metal frame with a tempered glass top.I don’t think that I would place a printer on this desk, however, unless you can be certain that it won’t exceed the weight limitations. One thing I noted is that there are no suction cups to secure the tempered glass in the middle section of the desk. Both of the sides have the suction cups to secure the tempered glass, but for whatever reason, the corner middle section does not. The glass does fit somewhat securely; however, when we tilted the desk on its side to move it into its permanent location, the corner section of glass did tumble out of the desk and land on my laminate flooring. I am very relieved that it did not break. I am rather pleased with this desk. Suits my needs fine, quite an upgrade from my old desk. Would recommend to anyone who needs a reasonably priced desk to fit in a relatively small area, for less than 25 pounds of items. Regarding the label on the glass in the center section, I was able to peel the label off relatively easily, from one corner. Some of the label did remain once I peeled the majority of it off, but I just used an alcohol pad to finish breaking down the adhesive and cleaning the gunk off the area. I hope this review was useful to anyone considering this desk. I have included some photos so that you can see the desk in action! • The pictures don’t do justice at all! I’m in love!
Size: Wood Top
Ok so to start off I never wrote reviews... it’s never been my thing. But I was so impressed with this desk... I had to spread the word on it. 1st of all let me start by saying if you are hesitate on getting the wood one... don’t . It’s absolutely gorgeous. It’s a dark rich color wood and it looks and feels like quality pieces. When I was taking it out of the box I couldn’t believe how beautiful it was . I was expecting something different for the price. 2nd goes to the instructions!!! Omg this is the first time In my life I have bought a piece of furniture that I had to put together and had instructions that were so easy to follow and small child could put this together. I’m not kidding you! I put the whole this together on my own in about 30-40 minutes. All of the pieces connected together like a puzzle and the end results had me smiling from ear to ear. I love this desk. It’s crazy because I was looking at this desk for like two weeks trying to decide if I really wanted it . But for my budget this was all I could afford at the time. I’m so happy I made the purchase. I would most deff recommend this to everyone. I love it and I want to say thank you to whoever designed this piece! ... show more

  • Exactly what I expected
Size: Wood Top
Just got delivered today (about three hours ago) and the desk is exactly what I expected when I placed my order. This is a desk under $100 so I wasn't expecting something extremely sturdy but I am very pleased so far. I can't attest to durability but I don't see any reason this desk wouldn't last unless you were being too rough with it. Otherwise it should last as long as any other desk within this price range. It also came with a bag labeled "spare parts" that contains one extra of each screw, I didn't need them since everything needed for assembly was not missing. The box it came in took a bit of a beating and the part labeled "G" (the bowed center connecting rod) has a dent in it, but it's the only part that is damaged and it didn't keep me from being able to assemble the desk. Plus, since it's in the center facing inward (where you would be sitting) you can't even see it, so I'm not taking a star off or returning it. The dent also isn't big or deep enough to compromise the desk in anyway. I've included pictures of the manual so you can get a look at what you should see, take note that you pay close attention to the pictures (there are no written directions to clue you in) when assembling. The pictures will give you a clear idea to what direction everything should face, at what angle and what side of the part you should be working on. It could be very easy to mistake one side for another, I didn't but I was laying things out carefully before assembly. For example: when putting the legs on (known as figures D & C in the book) you could easily flop them around without noticing if you aren't paying close attention, but again the pics will clue you in. Also the instructions say this desk can hold max 50 lbs on either end (aka Part "A") and the center can hold a max of 25 lbs. My computer is a Lenovo Yoga 910 which is about 13.9" and around 1 lb, I placed it just about the middle of the center so you can get a visual idea of the depth. Height is good, I'm a 5'4 tall female and my arms can rest comfortably on the top. The angle is nice too, I'm able to rest my arms at an angle that feels comfortable and not awkward. I can also reach to either end of the desk without leaning or even turning my swivel chair and I'm actually sitting back several inches from the desk as I'm typing this and all without issue. Assembly didn't take more than ten or fifteen minutes after I had laid everything out to make sure I had all the parts. Also, it may seem like the screws might not be long enough to fit properly (my first thought during assembly) but they do and tighten up nicely. Will do an update once my office is not a renovation zone and everything is in place for me to properly test the desk out :) ... show more
