It arrived without any damage. It is very well packaged! All the parts were there, including every single screw, washer, clips, etc.. Like many others here, it took me about 3 hours to assemble (given breaks & distractions). Instructions are not that intuitive and takes a bit of time to get used to the way they show the various features! Once I figured that out, everything goes together well and quite snug. Once assembled it feels quite rugged and can be moved around easily. Features like the tank gage is really nice. Ignition works very well. Heat distribution is excellent and it heats up to 500F in less that 15 minutes from a cold start with the lid closed. Once heated, opening and closing the lid drops the temperature down to about 300-350F depending how quickly I closed it again but it comes up to temperature again very quickly. Very happy with the purchase. Delivery was excellent also. I managed to catch the delivery guys who carried and put it down for me inside my garage. ... show more

The assembly didn't look that difficult, but I purchased the assembly and saved aggravation. The woman was extremely professional and had it together in no time. This grill is a workhorse and so easy to use. It's easy to clean, heats up quickly, and maintains temperature with few flameouts or issues. My wife and I love this grill. THe footprint is small enough for my smaller porch yet can cook a ton of food due to even temps throughout the grill. ... show more

We're so happy with this grill. It's awesome. It cooks food evenly across the entire surface of the grill. Easy to use. Very attractive and modern looking. We almost bought the original Spirit as it is Wirecutter's current recommendation, but then realized this new one has been released... At the time we purchased it there were not many reviews, but we took a chance and we love it. Why not have the latest technology? We also contemplated getting the Genesis until we saw it in a store and realized it was too big for our space. If you are contemplating getting the Genesis, take a look at it first at a store. It is HUGE. More grill then most people need or have space for... This seems like the perfect marriage of the original (well-loved) Spirit and the Genesis -- compact and stylish, with a modern look and current technology. It's the nicest grill we've ever owned. Pros: - Compact design that still has a large grilling area. - Easy ignition -- no scary "poof" of fire like previous grills we've owned. - Easy access to propane tank. - Grills evenly across entire grilling area. (I test my meat with a thermometer and am amazed at how consistent the temperatures are across the entire grill.) - Heats up very fast - to 500+ in about 5 min. - Cleans very easily - Modern looking - I-Grill compatible - Propane gauge so you can see how much you have left. (Note, the i-grill app tells you exactly how much you have left...) Cons: - We have not noted any so far, aside from a packaging/shipping problem (a dented leg) which Weber resolved very quickly for us (they overnighted a replacement). Accessories The accessories are great too -- we got the utensils which hang conveniently on the side and are dishwasher safe; the propane tank cover; and the 7139 Grill Cover which is the correct cover for this grill. We also got the i-grill 3, which is fun and effective. Overall, we can't say enough about this grill. It’s a Weber..need I say more? I had an older model for 17 years, I used it constantly, it was definitely time for an upgrade. I chose to assemble It myself it took some time, but the instructions were clear. All the parts were packed very well, there was a small dent in one of the legs but it didn’t cause any problems with the assembly. The grill heats up very fast, it has three burners, each comes with a knob. It ignites with the press of a button. I like the fact that theres a “meter”attached to the side that holds the propane tank, it has red notches showing how much fuel is left in the tank. I use it several times a week I’m very satisfied with this grill. ... show more

I needed a new small-to-mid-sized LP gas grill. I wanted something simple, with no frills like side burners or sear elements, but high quality. I decided on the Spirit II E-310, after reading the reviews on wirecutter.com and americastestkitchen.com, the two sites I trust most. This model was the top choice on both sites. At first, assembly was a bit daunting, just because of the sheer number of parts. But the assembly manual is excellent, though it's almost entirely non-verbal. The assembly process itself was quite easy, largely because every single part fit precisely--no mis-aligned screw holes, no pieces that had to be forced together. A particularly nice touch is that all the nuts are spot welded to the frame members, so you only have to worry about getting the right bolts in the holes. All that was required was a Phillips screwdriver and a 7/16 wrench. Once together the grill exudes quality in its look and feel. Everything is sturdy and solid and the controls are smooth. But, of course, the proof is in the grilling. And it excels there. It preheats quickly and, in about ten minutes, it's hot enough to sear food beautifully. Then drop the temperature right to where you want it, or switch to indirect heat and it responds quickly and precisely. I haven't been able to test things exhaustively yet, but it seems to have very even heat in all places on the grill, perhaps very slightly hotter at the rear. All in all, I'm fully satisfied.
