I bought this sofa for a TV/game room but wanted to have the sleeper option so we could add an extra bed for house guests. Being a sleeper, it's definitely firmer that I would typically like for a sofa but it's still decently comfortable as a couch. It definitely has looks above its price point. The material looks awesome and feels great - the matching pillows are a nice bonus. In its sleeping position, the size seems comparable to a full mattress - could comfortably sleep one adult but two might be a bit tighter. I assembled it by myself and it wasn't too bad. As someone said, the pre-drilled holes are misaligned and I don't understand how one side requires you to attach the seating base but the other side doesn't. I am praying that it doesn't break or fall apart. I slept on it the first day I got it and it decent. It is firm (which I like because I am a tall heavy woman) and it is roomy. The color and style is fine for me also. I do have it leaning against a wall to be safe because I know how these sleeper sofa beds malfunction over time from frequently putting it up and down and the mechanism that keeps it sitting upright doesn't hold. Would I recommend it? Yes I would for infrequent use. Like in a guest room, apartment and bedroom that has a bed that is being used type thing. I live alone and work a lot so I don't spend lots of time lounging. ... show more

It is a comfy couch. Some might think it is a bit too firm, but i like that. Unfortunately, there was a tiny hole in the side of one of the arms. Thought that I could have it hidden by the back of the couch, thinking that the arms could be used on either side. But the arms only have one side that they fit on. Im hiding it with one of the pillows that came with the couch. When pulling out the legs for when it is flat, there were staples that were poking my hand and scraping the leg. Had to get neddle nose pliers to move and then hammer it down. Would have cut it if I had the tools to do so. A star got knocked of for the hole and another for the pokey staple. It is still a good product, mine just had a few malfunctions of you will. ... show more

I don't usually like to leave bad reviews, but buyer be warned. This couch had ok-to-good reviews, so my hopes were medium-highish, but after trying to sit on it for the past month, I absolutely hate it. It feels like a personal first-world tragedy, being trapped with a very heavy, very unkind couch. The seat is so shallow and low that it forces you to sit with your knees out to the side, and as a bed it's like sleeping on springs with a thin layer of foam over them. Because that's exactly what it is. It's immensely unwelcoming. I watched the face of a house guest when she tried to sit on it and within minutes we decided to leave entierly rather than pretend to be OK sitting on this thing. I harbor deep, personal resentment against this couch, but my window to return it has closed, and that's on me, I know. It's like being in an abusive relationship that you can't get out of because you live alone on the second floor and don't have a pickup truck and the couch weighs about 200lbs. I honestly want to hire movers just to get this thing out of my life. I'd sell it, but only if I knew it was going to terrorists. I'd set it on fire, but it's a waste of matches. On the plus side, it was delivered right on schedule and comes with little pillows. **Update** After owning this couch for a whopping 2 months and sitting on it almost never because it was so intolerably uncomfortable, it broke! Absolutely love it!! Instructions were a bit confusing but still put it together rather quickly. I just went with my gut instinct. Surprisingly comfortable for a futon. Looks beautiful. Extremely happy. (My Sofa Sleeper is Gray in color which was the only color choice at time of purchase)

    • Pre drilled holes wrong
Correction to my last post, I figured it out. Installed fine, but the instructions could have been a little clearer. I suggest tipping up the cushions before bolting them to the base; it makes it make much more sense. Now it looks like the picture. --- The pre-drilled holes that attach the mattress to the storage box were misaligned, causing the box to stick out farther than the mattress. I thought maybe I had put the cushion on backwards, but turning it 180° made it impossible for the legs to swing out for the "bed" mode. Was easy to put together, though. ... show more

Ehhhhh not terrible. Haven't slept on it yet but it's alright to sit on. Smelled kinda strange but I guess that's factory smells. Took us way to long to put it together. Holes incorrectly lined up, the cardboard that's around the holes wasn't cleanly cut, the front is misaligned. All over just too difficult to assembled. Also, when you lay on the further side of the bed way, it tilts back. ... show more
