  • Useful machine and good customer service
Color: Black, brushed aluminum
Stamina conversion II bike/rower is easy to use. It is a great machine for having two different exercise options. The rowing is very smooth. Husband is 6'4" and there is plenty of length for him. The foot position is lower than a stand alone rower, but it still requires the same muscle use. Great for legs, abs, chest, back and arms! You only have to use it regularly! We think its a great product for the price point. Assembly was easy. Warranty is only 90 days. About 5 months after purchase we had a malfunction that rendered our machine useless. Stamina Customer service asked for video and relevant photos to help us troubleshoot. Less than 24 hours of initial contact they determined to send us a replacement machine. While it is a pain that we had a problem at all, we are very pleased with the quick and free resolution. So even with the very short warranty period, this company seems to want to treat their customers right. ... show more

  • Overall, a pretty decent piece of equipment
Color: Black, brushed aluminum
I just got the Stamina Conversion II bike last weekend, so the benefits of using it on a long-term basis still have yet to be determined, but overall, it's a pretty good investment, albeit a little pricey. It took me several hours to assemble, but that's just me. The instructions were mostly clear. The other reviewers who mentioned that some of the bolts/pieces are already installed were correct, so once you take everything out of the package, don't panic of all of the nuts/bolts/etc aren't there loose. I really like that the machine is multi-functional. It is a recumbent bike AND rowing machine. You can also do leg presses and arm curls with the machine (there is a youtube video put out by the manufacturer that shows a couple of different things you can do with the machine besides the recumbent biking and rowing.) The long arm that you sit on does fold up if you want to move it out of your way, and it has wheels on the front stabilizing bar to help you move it more easily, though the wheels are a tad small, so you really have to lean it forward to use the wheels. The seat is not comfortable at all so I took a U-shaped gel & memory foam seat cushion I had and put it on the seat on the rower. The U-shaped opening can be "hugged" around the seat back bar and stays in place and it makes the seat very comfortable. You can also buy memory foam seat covers if you prefer. The rowing machine is also very quiet to use as well; the only real noise is when you change the locking pin placement (locks the seat into place when you wan to do the recumbent bike feature.) My only complaints about the machine are that it's a tad narrow. I wish the handlebars on the seat that contain the pulse meters were a bit wider on either side, so that it would be easier to grip. Also the rowing machine handlebar is only 14 inches across, so it requires a more narrow grip when rowing. I don't like that, and I would imagine that men using the machine would find it too narrow as well. As a result, I prefer an underhanded grip when rowing. Also, a different version of this machine, the Stamina Avari Conversion, I think has the meter up above the rowing machine handlebar, so that it is easily readable. This version, has the meter on the body of the machine under the rowing handlebar, so when you are using the rowing machine, the ribbon that is extended when you pull backward is in the way when you're trying to read the meter. The meter displays the numbers in a large-print display, so it's not horrible, but a different placement for the meter would have been nice and should be considered in future versions. The machine has 8 different levels of resistance. I have not tried them all yet. My husband said it would not probably not give enough resistance for him, (he was previously into weight training), but I find it to be a pretty decent workout. Overall I am happy with the machine. I do wish it were a bit cheaper. I was able to catch it on sale, but it still is quite pricey, but again, you're getting two machines in one, so I wouldn't expect it to be super inexpensive. I would recommend it. ... show more

  • Nice machine
Color: Black, brushed aluminum
We got this machine for it's versatility and were pleasantly surprised. There are many different exercises you can do just with this one piece of equipment. It offers a good workout with decent resistance. Recommend if you like biking and rowing.

  • Great for rehabilitation
Color: Black, brushed aluminum
I've been using the Stamina Conversion II for about 3 weeks now and fair to give it a review. First, my need was rehabilitation from a medical issue that left me week across all muscles. I wanted something specifically to work my legs, arms and upper body. Based upon the number of exercises I could do with the Stamina II I figured I would give it a shot. Assembly was fine. Me and my brother in-law put it together in about 45 minutes or so. There were no issues with packaging or parts. Instructions were easy to follow. Usage was as stated as rehabilitation for me being in a weekend state as well as an exercise tool for my wife. The tension settings are fine for me for now. I'm rowing and bicycling at setting 4 right now, while leg press 7 or 8. Arm curls setting 4. Mind you I currently can only curl 15lbs with one arm. At 6'3" with long legs I would say 6'3" is max for a person before bottoming out when rowing. No way 6'4" would be able to row and extend legs full. Seat setup is fine. The bottom seat has some cushion, but not a lot. I tend to use a seat cushion, while my wife does not. On the pivot foot boards for rowing, it actually works well for me now, but it would have been nice to lock the row foot boards like all other rowing machines. But the pivot does make it better if you need ankle flection. Overall we are very happy with it. I would not recommend for anyone who is in great shape and looking for a rowing machine. It's for a weaker audience. ... show more

  • Works but low quality.
Color: Black, brushed aluminum
The exercise combo device does what it says it does but some of the components are just so...very...cheap. For instance, the petals have adjustable straps, but the cheapest possible. The foot rest where you row is just barely large enough and it caused your feet to slip. The hadle grip is barely padded and you can tell will need to be re-taped in a short time. In all, you get what you pay for. Not Peleton pricy, but not not Peleton quality either. ... show more

  • It makes lots of noise.
Color: Black, brushed aluminum
Sounds like it is grinding inside. Calling the Manufacture tomorrow. Will give an update. Contacted Stamina and they can not help me. There is no serial number on the unit. They require a serial number. Requested to return the unit back to the seller.
