I am now working from home and will be permanently, at least through 2020. I needed to get out of my kitchen but I had limited space to do an immediate change to another area with a desk. So I reviewed various "SMALLER" desks to fit an area in my living room for now. I always review the customer reviews prior to purchasing, which can tend to confuse you. I hardly EVER right reviews but after receiving my desk yesterday and having it set up today, I feel inclined to help those that may be in the same boat as I was. First and foremost, DO NOT believe anyone that tells you this is hard to assemble! My husband started it while I went grocery shopping, without reading the directions and it was set up and ready by the time I got home 30 minutes later. Now as far as SIZE, well I sure hope anyone that is considering a purchase would do their homework and MEASURE their area. In my instance I needed exactly the length and width that this desk is. Therefore, if the size is a surprise to you or doesn't meet your standards, you clearly didn't read the specs or measure the area in your home. This desk has NO surprises. I paid $90 for the Faux Birch and I love it!!! And it met the expectations I needed. So please if this desk and it's specifications are what your looking for, BUY IT. If you are looking for a larger desk, please do your homework. If you have trouble putting it together, well I"m not really sure what to say.... LOL ... show more

I bought this for my daughter and she was a bit apprehensive about this desk at first but once we assembled it (which took all of ten minutes and was easy) she was very pleased. It's a perfect sized desk for a student or small home office and for the price it can't be beat. It looks very nice and semi modern. My only concern is the top of the desk, especially in the middle, is not as solid and sturdy as I would like but as long as you don't put your weight on it to use as leverage when you get up it is fine. ... show more

I love this desk! I bought this because I’m learning how to do nails and the original desk I had was not comfortable for people who let me practice on them. And also the one I had was grungy and not very good at all so I bought this one and I love it! So for the first part it was super easy to put together so anybody who said it was hard to put together I’m sorry that is not hard to put together! All you have to do is follow the directions and they are super simple and easy to follow! Also maybe they change the design but the metal bars that come with it I didn’t have any metal barbs on mine. I was expecting it to have that but it didn’t at all maybe it was just one of those flukes. Also this is something I would like to address that if you’re going to buy something and it comes damaged usually it’s your delivery service who are to blame for the damage the people like UPS or whoever it is it ends up mailing it to you because mine came in perfect condition it had no dents no scratches no nothing and the guys who usually deliver to me don’t deliver anything damaged so if something comes you damaged you really need to talk to the delivery company as well. And also people need to realize healthy in this years with sauce always look at dimensions before you buy which is what I did so I know what I’m getting myself into I always look at dimensions of everything so people who leave a bad review just because I didn’t read the description is kind of ridiculous to me please please please read the dimensions and read everything about it before you purchase it please do not buy it without reading it and then blame the company company! ... show more

I ordered this for my best friend's son. It really is an awesome desk. He's 11 years old. My best friend was able to assemble the desk within 30 minutes without any tools. She said it was really easy to set up; she's overwhelmed easily and I thought I'd need to come over to assemble for her and before I knew it she sent a photo of it fully set up. She did forget to install the back part to the desk but she actually liked the look better with out it on. Overall, great desk at a great price that's super easy to assemble. Because of COVID had to start remote working. Was not perfect being in my living room, but finally fiured this reality will be going on for awhile. Bought this desk for my bedroom office. Is the best size for my laptop monitor and lamp. Love the other storage shelves. Perfect height for my chair. Although with arms it will not go under the desk, so keep that in mind if you have a small space with the armed chairs. Before chair came, was using dining room chair which fit perfectly under the desk. Easy put together, about 15 mins. Perfect for my needs. Would buy again definitely.
