Perfect for my needs. Arrived safely, no shipping damage. Packaged well. Quality components, looks good, and most important for my needs it was the right size for my small concrete patio. Only minor cutting made it fit, and the aluminum cut easily. Since the entire structure is very lightweight, I will purchase concrete screws and anchor the 4 corners down, soon. It looks very nice and is very nice to sit under when the sun is shining! Seems a little bit on the flimsy side, but have had no issues with it yet. It did come with minor scratches from the factory, though, because the delivery box was in perfect condition.....nothing major and no big dents. Ours measures 89 inches from the deck to the top of the post cap which is the highest point. From outside post to outside post it measures 108 inches one way and 106 inches the other way. ( we measured from the top of the posts too) The post “feet” are 6 inches square. The posts themselves are 4 inches by 4 inches. And....The top rails stick out 6 inches from the outside of the post. Hope this helps. Update: It’s been 2 months now and we love it so far! Absolutely no issues with anything! I’m increasing the rating to a 5 star. New Update: It's been 2 years now and still works and looks like new. We take the canopy off for the winter but leave the rest up. Well worth the money. ... show more

These pergolas are great, they look very classy, are light weight and easy to assemble. I purchased two of them for my back porch / outdoor kitchen area and they really are a great addition. However, there are a few cons: 1- if you're in a area with high wind you'll need anchor them down 2- they rattle a good bit in wind as well 3- one of mine was missing a carabiner that the canopy attaches to (not a huge deal, I made it work without it) 4- here's the big one.... and I'll preface this by saying that the damage was preventable had I thought to draw back or remove the canopies with pending snow (we don't get much snow in SC, so I'll blame my ignorance on that)... the canopies cannot hold the weight of snow, so either draw them open or remove them all together. I came home from work today to both of them having caved in with bent poles and a lot of damage. Not sure how to go about ordering replacement parts, or if coolaroo monitors these posts, but maybe someone can help me out with finding replacement parts or if any of this could be under warranty. 4 stars only because of the noisiness in the wind and missing carabiner. This Pergola is perfect for covering our hot tub. I can keep the shade retracted for night time sky view and extended to keep the sun off the hot tub cover. It was easy enough for my wife and I to assemble. We didn't throw any tools at each other :). I like the fact that it is weather resistant and It looks good too. ... show more

Ok. So I bought it already aware from reading the reviews that it was going to be difficult to put together. The directions are not good. But we did figure it out just like everyone else said. My 17 year old son and his girlfriend put it together in about 3 hours total. Definitely glad we got it it’s beautiful! ... show more

I wouldn't say this was 'easy' to assemble, but it's very sturdy and looks wonderful. It also wasn't the cheapest one we found, but we've decided it was definitely worth the price. Great finish, and the canopy is a really high-quality mesh material that'll last for a decade or more. Very happy with this pergola! ... show more

I don’t know how to add pictures here, but one of the pieces arrived with the end crushed. It was a decorative end and thankfully my husband could re-shape the aluminum with tools, but it was still disappointing. I know it’s not a super expensive piece, but it’s still a lot of money and should arrive undamaged. As for assembly, the directions are confusing. My advice is to read the directions very carefully, then read them again. I am not new to assembling furniture, in fact it’s one of my superpowers, but this one was hard. It took two adults, one teenager, and four hours to build. We had to take apart and put back together whole steps TWICE! All that to say, in the end it is a really pretty piece and I’m looking forward to enjoying it this summer. The damaged piece and frustrating assembly just left a bad taste in my mouth... ... show more

For the price, this pergola is great! Pro- the aluminum won't rust ... Con- it is a little lightweight. We bolted the pergola to paver stones and it seems like it will hold up well! Only took a few hours to assemble with two people. The shade is really neat as it slides open or closed. My wife was worried about how it would look, but she loves it. Doesn't look cheap and is functional. Note the price here on Amazon fluctuates... We waited til it was a good deal! ... show more
