  • I works exceptionally well
Style: TrueCoat 360 Paint Sprayer
I was researching sprayers to apply a heavy stain to my fence--one of the reviews I read for the Wagner product I was seriously considering suggested Graco instead due to their reliability and consistent performance. This was very easy to prep and it performed exceptionally well. It took maybe two minutes to practice with the spray pattern but there was hardly any overspray at all and the stain went exactly where I was pointing. I had one clog in the sprayer but that was completely my fault as I let the sprayer sit for about 40 minutes in upper 80 weather (not in direct sun), but it was easily cleared. The sprayer combo I bought came with a smaller container and a larger one, and a 4-inch and 12-inch nozzle (I used the 4-inch nozzle). The larger container held enough stain to do one 7 x 7 foot section of fence line with exceptional coverage. Clean up was super easy. I recommend rinsing out the liners and reusing them for jobs that take more than one day, but they will lose their ability to keep an airtight seal after a while. I used to own a Wagner sprayer several years ago and the Graco was a much better sprayer. Highly recommend this product. ... show more

  • Easy to use. Great for acoustic ceilings. Frequent refills. Easier to use than Graco Magnum X7.
Style: TrueCoat 360 Paint Sprayer
I've painted several rooms with this sprayer, and I really like it. It is NOT a time-saver in my opinion. It makes a cloud of aerosolized paint in the air, so thorough masking and floor protection are really important (so is PPE, by the way). By the time you get done with all of that, sometimes it's just faster to use brushes and rollers. That said, I can't imagine anything better for those horrible bumpy, dry, crumbly, acoustic ceilings that so many of us have. This little sprayer makes quick work of them, and they look absolutely amazing with fresh paint (they're not very acoustic with fresh paint, but they definitely have a much nicer look). While rollers and brushes might be faster for most surfaces, this really does put down a nice layer of smooth, professional-looking paint, which is worth the extra prep time and spraying. If you're in a situation where you don't need to mask stuff, then this sprayer is definitely a fast and easy partner in crime. And yep, it does spray upside down, just like they say it does. It really has worked like a champ. It's not very heavy, even when fully loaded. I'm a little wimp and had no problems holding it up to do ceilings and higher walls. You just hold the trigger grip with one hand and support the paint cup with the other hand. I also really like that you don't have to clean it if you're using it again the next day. It's as simple as turning the tip 90 degrees, and then, poof, you're done for the day. There are a few things I don't love. First, you do have to refill it quite frequently if you're painting larger areas. By larger areas, I mean... a wall. Refilling is relatively easy, but you do have to go through the priming dance every time, and it gets messier and messier with each refill. I also have a hard time with the paint cup. It's just a little too big for people with smaller hands to twist on and off, and I had some spills as a result. The last issue is that the sprayer moves a lot of air when it's operating, so you have to make sure that anything you've got masked off is really securely taped. Otherwise, this sprayer will blow it aside and spray a bunch of paint where you don't want it before you even realize it's happening. Before this little handheld jobber, I had a Graco Magnum X7. The setup and cleaning rituals were ridiculously incomprehensible and tedious. Even though the X7 was a bit lighter to handle, struggling with the unyielding paint hose made it seem really heavy and cumbersome. This little handheld sprayer is much more flexible and gets into all of the places the X7 did at a fraction of the cost. The 360 is much easier to operate and clean, plus it's a lot smaller and easier to store when not in use. ... show more

  • Great sprayer! Easy to set up
Style: TrueCoat 360 Paint Sprayer
Great sprayer! Easy to set up, easy and fun to use, but not so fun to clean. Like so many have said before me, it is a royal pain to clean. I've used my sprayer 5 times so far and it has never taken me less than 45 minutes to clean. It's always a thorough cleaning and by the book. But with that said, it has always worked when I started it up again for the next painting project days later. No clogs and no splatter. Just works great each and every time. Would have given a perfect 5, but clean up is time consuming. Also, I need to mention that securing the lid to the cup is no easy task! Takes a lot of patience! But, I would definitely recommend this sprayer. ... show more

  • Buy this Graco TrueCoat 360 over the Wagner HVLP sprayer if you're using Latex Paint
Style: TrueCoat 360 Paint Sprayer
After doing a month of research, and almost pulling the trigger on the $90 Wagner HVLP Sprayer, I went to some professional paint equipment review sites and the Graco brand models were always ranked way ahead of the Wagner devices, and usually at the top or near the top. Now, I wasn't going to buy an $800 paint sprayer but, even at the sub $200 price point, Graco True Coat 360 was very well reviewed. So I get my hands on it a couple weeks ago and finally get a chance to use it on a full living room project, INTERIOR painting, with Sherwin Williams Super Paint (EggShell White). I was painting all 4 walls and the ceiling. Here are seven (7) observations: (1) The Sprayer has no Low-High setting. Even though you see the Low-High switch on the videos, THIS particular model does not have any such switch. This is not a deal breaker, but you only get ONE speed. (2) There is a good deal of overspray. This means that you have to do a good job of masking off the entire areas on which you don't want paint. And get a good paint remover, like "Goof Off" brand paint remover... because paint particles will go EVERYWHERE, especially when painting ceilings. (3) Don't use this without a respirator or face mask, and goggles. Add to that: clothes that you care nothing about. Paint will get everywhere. (4) There's NO NEED to thin latex paint. WIN! The highly ranked Wagner at this price point required users to thin out their latex paint for best results. The Graco True Coat 360 does not require that you thin the paint at all. (5) You will use A LOT of paint. This little paint sprayer uses more paint than you would use if painting with brushes or rollers. However.... (6) The results are FANTASTIC. Just keep your arm steady, avoid the wrist bending, and take your time... and your paint project will come out as if you paid a professional to do it. I was able to paint the ceilings WITHOUT a ladder. (7) Commit to the cleanup process. Cleaning the sprayer was not tough - just follow the instructions, and do NOT submerge the sprayer under water. I recommend that you have a five gallon bucket handy, as this will make cleaning the unit a breeze. Also, GET the replacement cup liners. The 32oz cups this unit comes with are very small, and will require very frequent refills on a large project. Fill up a few before you start for faster refills. You will not go wrong with this device, and the results will astound everyone who sees the results. ... show more
