  • Used on the Creality Ender 3v2 mainboard v4.2.2, works very well!
On the Creality Ender 3v2 the manufacturer undersized the heatsinks on the 2208 stepper drivers. I replaced the original heatsinks with these. Also Creality set the stepper driver voltages too hi. I turned all 4 drivers voltages down until the X-Y-Z-E motors run warm, not too hot. This fixes the problem with layer shifting. I did use heatsink thermal glue instead of using the thermal tape that are on these heatsinks. I peeled the thermal tape off, then glued these on the stepper drivers. My two Ender 3v2s are now running very well. On a side note, the Creality mainboard v4.2.7 uses these same heatsinks in black instead of blue. ... show more

  • Nice small heatsinks.
I'm using a couple in an electronics project to cool the controller IC on a couple buck converters. For my application I removed the thermal tape and set them in place with some JB Weld epoxy. I did lightly sand the heat sink and the IC both for good adhesion. And yes I know that they're permanently applied, which is what I wanted. No fear of the thermal tape letting go. The controllers now run close to 12 degrees F cooler. So they work for me. The part I'm using these on is permanently soldered in place. Both the part and heat sink are inexpensive enough not to worry about replacement. ... show more

  • These are great, just make sure you have the right idea for use in mind.
thee lil guys are doing excatly what i hoped. Remember what they are. simple lil heatsinks to HELP dissipate heat, not as a cooling solution for high temp situations. but i can say putting a bunch tight together, keeps my 265 watt PSU for my laptop, is keeping it much cooler, and just setting them on top of my laptop, together, with out even removing the plastic from the sticky thermal tape, pulls the heat from the laptop case as they are hot to the touch, and help keep my laptop a few deg cooler under load, especially with a bit of air flow thru them. ... show more

  • Great inexpensive way to sink heat from small IC's.
Great inexpensive way to sink heat from small IC's. I use these mostly for stepper controllers which come with terrible little sinks. Depending on your application, using these allows me to use convection for cooling instead of active systems -- simplifies projects when you don't need to monitor temp and PWM a fan. Definitely pay for themselves. ... show more

  • Work as they should
Put these on my VCMs on my asrock motherboard, dropped the teps by 6c. Have a 120mm fan pulling air across them, can’t ever have to much cooling. And they look good!

  • The adhesive supplied should be removed and replaced with proper adhesive
Other than the "sticker" on the back meant to hold these items on your hot component, these are small, aluminum, blue and they do what they're supposed to do. They move heat. Replace the sticker backing with proper thermal adhesive paste.

  • Good heatsinks, poor adhesive
Good heatsinks, good price, but poor adhesive. They fall off if using the provided adhesive. I recommend them only if you have another thermal adhesive tape that you can use.

  • Great value for the money
They work great, used in my motherboard VRM. Keeps them a lot Cooler, and the preinstalled Adhesive works great, and doesn’t make a mess. Would buy again
