I recently purchased a 2014 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid. It has 147,000 miles on it when I bought it. I switched to the Mobil 1 oil at 152,000 miles from conventional oil. I was getting about 31-32 mpg on conventional oil but I've seen my Mpg go to 38-41 Mpg since I switched. It took about two weeks of driving for it to fully lubricate the engine I guess because it gradually went up the more I drove. I'll never go back to conventional oil. I could tell right away the engine was running much smoother when driving. I'm putting this in my 2001 F150 and my 2010 Mazda Miata. Great price and fantastic product!!😁 ... show more

I have been using Mobile 1 full synthetic oil in 4 of my vehicles since 2008. Never had an engine failure or internal problems in none of them. 3 years ago I sold one vehicle with 279,000 miles and running strong. It was a 2008 Chrysler mini van with original engine. The second vehicle is a 2010 Dodge Charger bought new and is garaged with 92,000 miles on it. At 14 years old No engine problems! Might of fact only parts replaced on vehicle is tires and lug nuts, Wiper blades, air filter, front brakes ( should have replaced those brake hoses when vehicles was 10 years old). Brakes were still good but a brake hose collapse and seizings caliper piston. 3rd I bought new 2020 Hyundai Santa Fe has 60,000 miles on it now the engine runs like new and does not use any oil between oil changes. All vehicles started using Mobile 1 synthetic oil at 2,000 miles. Last vehicle bought was bought used for my teenage son a 2010 Honda civic with 114,000 miles .Don’t know the oil change history but it had Mobile 1 oil in it when purchased ( written on oil change sticker on windshield). Changed oil and now after 3000 miles the oil level on dipstick has not moved! Now the conclusion no matter what you search on what is the best oil is Mobile 1 synthetic is going to be rated as 1,2 or maybe 3 depends on who is doing the testing. Now a mechanic that has torn down a very high mileage engine to look at wear (talking over 350,000 miles) that used entirely mobile 1 synthetic will say you can never go wrong by using Mobile 1 oil! ... show more

As a longtime motor oil enthusiast I have seen numerous used and virgin oil analysis reports, spoken with tribologists, read technical white papers on minimum oil film thickness and generally just have seen alot of things, with that being said it's hard to have a discussion about motor oil without starting a small scale war, but long story short this is my goto oil for any gasoline application that calls for 5w30 these days. This is one of the most affordable oils with extra high temperature high sheer viscosity for higher loads compared to your average synthetic 5w30 with numerous approvals like BMW LL01, MB 229.3/229.5, Porsche A40, and VW 502/505, this oil will perform very well in multiple applications with the added benefit of extra total base number for added insurance against potential extended service intervals, I don't have to worry about running my oil life too low, and on any application I've tried I can go all the way downto 0% oil life on the OLM while still retaining a serviceable total base number on the used oil and no flagged TAN indicators. ... show more

A few years back I was using regular motor oil, I had heard mixed feedback on switching to synthetic and opted not to switch. When my 02 Toyota 4 Runner started running rough (around 250k miles) I did some research on synthetic motor oil and asked a client of mine in the industry and decided to give it a try and switched to Mobil 1 high mileage. What a difference. My engine used to start running rough at around 2k miles now thtruck runs smoother than the day we drove it out of the lot and I go 5k miles between oil changes and I am sure I could push it further but even after 5k miles, the engine still runs smooth, well worth the extra cost ... show more

Advanced Fuel Economy? Compared to what? Non-synthetic? Some other brand? It's not why I bought it. I've had good luck with Mobil 1. Toyota / Lexus list Exxon / Mobil full synthetic or their branded oil as an approved replacement. I change my oil and filter every year or 6000 miles. Do not use the manufacturer maintenance schedule. That's for "optimal" driving and conditions. Oil and a filter is cheap compared to a damaged engine or rebuild. ... show more
