  • Well built machine, good run time, flys well, great for people interested in cinematography
Edition: Mavic 2 Pro with Fly More Kit Bundle
So far this has been a great drone! The camera is great for both stills and video! I have not tried all of the modes as of yet because of too much rain lately! The only thing I have found is that I needed to let the batteries discharge down in the Mavic 2 before charging them again then getting a full charge! There may be a firmware update pertaining to the batteries. I am primarily interested in this drone for photography so I am interested in smooth flying with no abrupt stops & starts. If you flew a smaller drone like the Dji Spark before this one, start out flying in a big field because the Mavic 2 is faster even in the basic mode and makes wider turns until you get use to it! The sensors all around are of great value they help you to be aware of objects around you because you’ll hear a audible signal sound. They also make people around you more confident that you are not going to hit them because the Mavic when sensing and object in front, behind or to the sides of the person or object will hover and make an audible sound! So far so good, I love the Mavic but I bought the propeller guards by DJI so I don't fold up the drone, I keep it in it's ready to fly position. Another good thing to buy are neutral density filters: they will reduce the amount of light to the camera on bright days allowing you to make better camera settings and different depth of field ranges. If you are looking to get a cinematic look you should set the video at 24 frames per second [fps] and generally the shutter speed to be 2x the frames per second which would be either 1/50 th of a second or 1/60 th of a second. Neutral density filters will cut down the amount of light to the sensor enabling you to make more accurate settings! I know this is a little long and winded but this drone is something to get excited about! ... show more

  • Mavic 2 Pro: Absolutely amazing..Kinda. Read Below for Pros and Cons..
Edition: Mavic 2 Pro with Fly More Kit Bundle
Don't buy the Fly More package. Instead: Buy the extra batteries separately. Get an FStop Labs (or similar) parallel charger instead of the garbage charger that DJI sells. Buy a better case that actually fits your needs (and your drone..) CONS 4K can only be shot at 30fps. But, you can always use 2.7K at 60fps for a great compromise, or 1080p at 120 fps for the ultimate slow motion or fast moving object experience. Batteries only charge ONE at a time on the 4-battery charger..and take FOREVER. I wish they charged faster and in parallel. I guess I will have to buy an FStop Labs charger. 10bit color can only be used in Dlog and HLG modes, which introduces barrel distortion (horizon looks curved) and a very flat unsaturated image. You will have to correct this in post and it can take quite a bit of time and effort to get right. Shooting in "Normal" color mode only uses 8bit color, but does all of the corrections for you, leaving you with great looking footage that is ready to go. The 8bit "Normal" mode actually looks fantastic and is my preferred setting. Some of the flight modes have been discontinued, like fixed wing mode. PROS 1" sensor allows much more light, giving the darks and lights MUCH more detail. This doesn't just apply to shooting at night, or in low light.. Even during the day, shadows within tree branches and darker images from far away look so much better than those shot with a 1/2.3" camera. If I haven't said it outright yet- The camera is Awesome! You can watch or read all of the reviews that second guess the camera and say it isn't as good as they advertise it to be, but in my experience so far, it is FANTASTIC. For the size of this drone, there is not another camera on the market that is better. If you don't think this camera is good enough for what you need, then you are likely a professional filming full-time and need to look at getting into the $4,000.00+ space and use a drone 4X larger. 4K HQ mode is awesome. Yeah, the Pro doesn't have optical zoom, but the 4K HQ mode crops the image providing a slightly "closer" shot. Plus, the image quality in 4K HQ mode looks much better when zoomed in during post, and in general in my opinion. This is my favorite 4K option for the M2P. Flight time is awesome. OccuSync 2.0 is buttery smooth at long range and the operator experience feels truly premium and professional. Overall, this drone is amazing. If you have an original Mavic Pro should you upgrade? Yes, if you have the money to do it. If you have a Phantom should you get a Mavic 2 Pro? Maybe. The portability of the Mavic 2 Pro is far superior to the Phantom, and the camera quality is very comparable. In many cases, the Mavic 2 Pro actually looks better. But, you will lose that 4K at 60fps. If you are just a hobbyist or only occasionally use your Phantom to make money, the Mavic 2 Pro may be worth switching to. Don't be scared to buy one. ... show more

  • Very nice bang for your buck!
Edition: Mavic 2 Zoom with Fly More Kit Bundle
This is my first drone, and boy am I glad to have gone with DJI. The quality of the build and materials is top notch. The standard remote controller works well with my iPhone 12 Pro Max, iPhone 7 Plus, and iPad 6. The drone is very beginner friendly and easy to use. Just make sure to read the manual and take care of those batteries! The picture quality has been quite remarkable despite not having the Pro camera. I’ve read online that the Pro and Zoom only differ in which gimbal and camera is mounted to the drone body, and you can buy the alternate unit and swap at will. I highly recommend this drone for anyone that’s just getting into it and has never flown a drone before. It’s been one of the most impressive and fun hobbies that I’ve ever picked up! Fly safe and enjoy! ... show more

  • Great update to the Mavic Pro
Edition: Mavic 2 Zoom with Fly More Kit Bundle
Been flying this several weeks now and am really like it. The additional sensors make it easier to fly safely. It flies a bit faster and stays in the air longer that the Mavic Pro as well. And the zoom! I didn't think a 2x zoom would be that noticeable but it has made a world of difference. I can bring in distant objects to 'pack them in' with foreground elements much better. Now, you can actually see the mountains behind buildings in town. I can also get better photos from further away, so I don't disturb anyone (or any animals). It is incredibly simple to fly, just pay attention and give yourself time to learn. The different perspectives you can get make photography new again! ... show more

  • Great drone
Edition: Mavic 2 Zoom with Fly More Kit Bundle
One of the easiest remote control birds I have ever flown. Take it off and hovers in one spot even in the wind. Take it off to a height of 30 feet and then fly it a few times, push return to home and it will come back to the take off point within 2 feet. Record anything on the mico sd card and the video is GREAT. ... show more
