  • Great Things in Small Packages
Color: Black Matte
When I first opened the box, I wondered where all of the attachments were and was amazed to find them inside the bowl. I was doubly amazed to find how many were there! After years and years of owning a large Cuisinart food processor, we bought two processors to take its place, a wee one for making small amounts of sauces and chopping ingredients for small portions, and this bigger (yest still smaller than our previous Cuisinart) processor because we love to cook for family and friends. Our first task for it: Hash Browns. After our Cuisinart, we had to get used to the way this was put together. It has a different combination of twisting and inserting than our previous processor, and if one doesn't quite get it right, it won't turn on--a safety feature to keep one's fingers intact! Once we figured it out (and it didn't take but a minute or two), we were off grating potatoes for our hash browns. This processor was quick and capable. Our potatoes were evenly grated with just one wee bit of potato left in the top spinning 'round (there's always one, right?). Disassembly and cleaning was easier than our old Cuisinart, too! I really like the different sized slicers and graters included with this kit. They help me to get just the right sized cuts out of my veggies, and the processor seems to have ample strength to power right through what I've given it so far. We are looking forward to using this for a good many years. ... show more

  • Good Blade Variety
Color: Black Matte
What drew me to this food processor over others was the ability to do a fine shred. It helps me to shred my asiago cheese. That is really the only reason I was willing to pay for a food processor at this price point. Pros... 1. I love the variety of blades even though after all these months I've only used the fine and medium blades. 2. I like being able to store all of the blades in the bowl. I find having to take all of the blades out to use the food processor to only be a minor annoyance. 3. Compared to my former Black and Decker model, this takes up less counter space for me. I like that. Cons... There are a few cons that resulted in the 4 stars. 1. No replacement parts even 5 months after release. (Hubby put the part that pushes down the food in backwards on accident and did not realize until it was all the way down. We had to break a piece off to get it out.) 2. The food chute is on the small side. I cannot get even an average size cucumber down the chute without trimming the sides. 3. The food chute is not an oval causing the issue in #2 in my opinion. If it had been an oval, the example with the cucumber would have been a non-issue in my opinion. 4. Even when doing a simple shred of cheddar cheese, the motor sounds like it is working overtime. It makes me think that this will not last for the long haul, but we'll see. ... show more

  • Powerful - awesome machine - VERY EASY to clean (BUT be careful of sharp blades)
Color: Black Matte
So far so good; we've made plenty of homemade margaritas with tons of ice, made great guacamole multiple times, and simple other tasks. Some reviews complained about the safety lid. I get it, Everything is plastics these days. But if you break it the connection will fail and the unit will not operate. The user has to be extra careful to pay attention, don't treat it like a stainless steel or rubber lid like the old fashioned blenders. Because stupid people have done stupid things "all" of us are forced to deal with safety gadgets that make for an extra second of diligence. All manufacturers have been forced to make the changes due to stupid lawsuit-happy people. Just slow down and flip the gizmo over as it needs to be done and you won't have any problems. ... show more

  • Great for multiple uses but not reversible for lefties
Color: Contour Silver
This can do everything you'd expect, and the blades stack neatly inside, decreasing storage space. The lid lifts of with one hand, so that's nice, but the lefties out there must, again, use the wrong hand for everything. Seems it would have been easy to allow this carafe to cradle in the opposite direction, helping lefties use their dominant hand for lifting, but that option doesn't exist in this model. ... show more

  • Not hardy enough
Color: Black Matte
I will be sending this product back. The Shute is very narrow meaning I would have to really cut things small. From what I could find the watts are very low. I was excited to find this but it will not be good for what I need. But a great concept!

  • Newly thought-out design for food processors
Color: Black Matte
It's very nice. A different locking mechanism (much easier to use). All the accessories are stored inside the food processor, so they're much less likely to be misplaced and lost. And I think it works really well – of course, I'm just comparing it to our old processor, which wasn't one of the high-end food processors with the standard design. ... show more

  • Well designed multiple functions.
Color: Contour Silver
Like the variety of blades. It is a lot of parts to keep on the counter when operating the processor and washing requires much space.
