The Stand is constructed of laminated particleboard with metal accents. The 18” firebox insert features a LED light source boasting up to 50,000 hours of life. The Carson Electric Fireplace TV Console warms rooms up to 400 sq. ft. and also provides added storage with 2 large cabinets and open shelving to organize your gaming consoles, TV receivers, books, magazines and remotes. The Fireplace TV Console ships flat to your door and requires assembly upon opening. Two adults are recommended for assembly. The Console’s top holds up to a 70” flat paneled TV with a maximum weight of 135 lbs. Once assembled it measures out to be 26”H x 63.1”W x 18”D.

What I mean by that is this ; Look at the stand and divide it into three separate parts -Left, Middle and Right. That is how it is shipped. So when it arrives you will have to assemble the base (the horizontal piece, which is touching the floor) from three separate assembly parts - Left, Middle and Right. You will do the same to the middle and top horizontal pieces - they will be assembled from three separate assemblies. I would think that Ikea will never do that. They would make the horizontal base as one piece for additional sturdiness. Same goes for the horizontal top assembly/platform where you would put on your tv etc. Other than that, the stand is easy to assemble - it took me close to 1.5 hrs to do that. (use the impact driver for speed). Looks good. The fireplace is a separate unit which has to be attached by screws to the stand at the end of the assembly process. Not! remotely controlled. There are two switches on the unit - fireplace (lights)ON/OFF, and the heater - ON/OFF. The flame is not very realistic. But overall the fireplace has a pleasant appearance and feel. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Crazy assembly, very confusing, the wood cracked a little , and a few screws broke but it looks beautiful .

I order other products and didn’t like the manufacturer is poor, besides the photos are different of the product. So this console says that will hold a 70” TV but is short. I am returning the product.

We love this stand/fireplace. So much storage space, doors that close it doesn't look cluttered and a gorgeous and very useful centerpiece electric firepace. Assembly wasn't really "easy", but not too difficult if you've put together any furniture before. Keeps our living room nice and cozy! We also love that you can run the electric "fire" without running the heat so you can have a great look in your home even if it is not cold at that time. Would definitely recommend. ... show more

I began putting this unit together and one of the parts was completely wrong. I now have to stop assembly and wait for the right part to come in. Disappointed already, and I haven’t even utilized the product yet.
