  • Started up first time; runs great. Remote start a big plus.
Style: 10000W Inverter Pattern Name: Generator
Easy to assemble and prep for initial startup. Starts and runs great. The eco-mode works as promised; engine runs at fast idle until electric load occurs. It easily runs 3 power tools at a time, and should be fine for emergency backup for our house electrical panel, provided we are selective in which circuits to power. Noise level is moderate and a bit louder than smaller inverter generators I've seen. Reasonable weight (about 160 lb with fuel) and very easy to maneuver with wheels and handle. After much research and evaluation, this was the best option for us in regard to portability and emergency home backup having low THD (<3% THD). ... show more

  • Superb Power!
Style: 15000W Dual Fuel Pattern Name: Generator
Item cam almost fully assembled, easy to move around with the right amount of man power. Quite loud, but powers up instantaneously. Still trying to figure out the the logistics of the remote start, it appears the remote only works if you're right in front of it, which to me defeats it's purpose. Once used however it takes a few seconds for it to actually power down. Starts up when prompted as normal and runs well on gas. I believe it will perform just fine, but the true test will come when grid powers goes caput. Will update this review as needed. Otherwise, this heavy duty piece of machinery functions and performance runs with precision. Happy with purchase so far and do recommend to others. ... show more

  • Powerful and Versatile
Style: 12500W Dual Fuel Pattern Name: Generator
I recently bought the Westinghouse 12500 Watt Dual Fuel Home Backup Portable Generator, and I couldn't be happier. This generator has exceeded my expectations in terms of performance and ease of use. Assembling it was a breeze, even for someone like me who isn't handy. The instructions were clear, and the necessary tools were provided, making the process quick and problem-free. One impressive feature is how effortlessly it starts up, whether using propane or gasoline. This is crucial during power outages when a reliable power source is needed urgently. Knowing I can depend on my Westinghouse generator brings me peace of mind. Setting up the remote control was surprisingly simple. Just follow the instructions, and within minutes, it's ready to use. Now, I can conveniently start and stop the generator from the comfort of my home, especially during inclement weather. The ability to switch between fuel types is a fantastic feature. Whether I prefer propane's convenience or gasoline's capability, this generator offers unmatched flexibility. The switch is easily accessible and user-friendly, allowing me to choose the fuel source that suits my needs. In summary, the Westinghouse 12500 Watt Dual Fuel Home Backup Portable Generator is a reliable and user-friendly addition to my household. It's easy to assemble, starts up quickly, and the remote control and fuel type selection make it a top-notch choice for a dependable backup power source. I highly recommend it for peace of mind during outages or as a versatile power solution. ... show more

  • Worth it for piece of mind.
Style: 12500W Dual Fuel + CO Sensor Pattern Name: Generator
I bought this unit so I could run my 43' camper with 3 air conditioners. It worked awesomely. It ran for 12 hours with everything on (3 a/c, residential refrigerator, electric water heater and anything else that I wanted) and it used 1 complete 40# propane tank. It gets better time on gasoline but the performance is the same. The push button start makes it easy for my wife to start it if I'm not around and it does have a remote start/stop feature. I like the thought of the dual fuel because when the power goes out at the gas station... you can't pump gas. But, those propane tanks are there, sitting in the racks, ready to go and you don't need power to refill propane tanks. Down side. This thing is pretty loud and too heavy to put in your truck bed by yourself. You can roll it around but the weight makes it a little labor intensive. I plan on mounting it in a small lawnmower trailer to make mobility easier with a lawnmower around the house. Overall, I'm glad that I got it. I definitely like the thought of when the power goes out, I can just roll over to the camper and be as comfortable as I am in my house. ... show more

  • Bonus
Style: 12500W + CO Sensor Pattern Name: Generator
This is a really nice generator. Setup was simple for someone even with the slightest mechanical inclination. The quick start instruction manual neglected to mention that the battery cable is disconnected. After going through the quick start manual, I hit start at the end and nothing happened. Only after thinking about it for a little bit, I remembered a previous commenter mentioning that the cable connection needed to be connected and wallah! It started on the first press of the button. I have since gone through over 48 hours of power outages and it has been able to run my entire house, including a 5 Ton heat pump I use to heat my home. During both power outages the outdoor temperature was below 32 degrees F, and ran nearly continuously. It is an inverter heat pump, so it's gentle on startup. I was also able to take a shower and run my electric oven to cook a pizza at 450 degrees. It didn't struggle even in the slightest. It's as noisy as you would expect for a generator this size. I wasn't shocked at it's noise level and neither should you. I was expecting it to be larger, but it's still large and heavy, but smaller than I was expecting. It rolls out of my garage easily with the supplied handle. I wouldn't expect grandma to be able to roll it out with ease, but if she was determined enough, she could do it. I highly recommend this generator. I wouldn't go out and buy anything more expensive that has the same output. Just buy it and you won't be dissapppointed. ... show more

  • Very powerful
Style: 28000W + CO Sensor Pattern Name: Generator
This is a very powerful generator at 20000 watts. I purchased a few weeks ago to power my 4000 sqft house as backup power. It's very heavy but considering how much power it produces it's justified. I filled it with 5 gallons of non ethanol gas and it started up without any issues. My house main panel is wired for generator backup power. I turned off my main breaker and used this generator to feed power to the house and it powered it all. Very happy so far. It is loud so will look into a quiet box to keep noise levels down. ... show more
