    • I want to give it a 5, but the noise ...

The media could not be loaded. Let me be very honest. I like this machine a lot. I had an underdesk elliptical before, but that one needs so much clearance that I think only people shorter than 5' can use it under their desk. The Cubii, however, works perfectly even with my keyboard drawer. The motion is smooth, and the assembly is easy. The unit is also fairly stable. It does move a bit, but I have hard wood floor, and I do expect this. However, after just 2 days of usage, it began to produce an annoying "swoosh" noise when I hit the pedal at low speed. And that's exactly the problem. While I do use it at higher speed one or twice a day, most of the time, I only hit it at low speed while I work as normal. The noise is driving me CRAZY. I am now turning on my TV to try covering it. I am realistic. I expect that kind of noise would come up down the road, but TWO DAYS? Come on, Cubii. UPDATE: The noise is now gone -- I don't know why, but I can no longer hear it even when I hit the pedal at very low speed. So, I change my rating to a 5-star. I can also report that it does help losing weight. I received mine on Sept 6th, and it is now only Oct, 4th. With at least 13k to 15k daily steps on the Cubii and a slight reduction of my daily food intake, I have lost roughly 6 lbs in about a month. UPDATE (2020/10/26): The machine remains silent, so I am guessing whatever the problem was, it might just be a teething issue (can I even use this to describe a machine)? Anyway, this elliptical continues to amaze me. For one, I am still using it. That is quite an accomplishment by itself. I've gotten so used to it now, sometimes I had to force myself not to step on it while working. It kind of becomes a second nature to me. As for the weight loss front, another 3 lbs are gone since Oct, 4th. I am now down a bit over 9 lbs in roughly 1.5 months. Who would think that it's possible by using this toy like underdesk elliptical. A bit of warning, though, I do quite a bit of workout on it daily. I would log about 10k steps of intensive run daily on it (I do it after dinner, usually takes about an hour), plus whatever I could do during the day while I am working (that goes anywhere from 5k to 10k). ... show more

This is great for working out your knees legs and lower body parts. I put mine in living room so that everyone can use it. You really feel the workout too and it’s convenient to setup and use! Highly recommend. Great value for the price thanks 😊

EDIT 02-01-24: I retract my original review, this thing now clicks (LOUD) with every rotation and is no longer silent by any means. They want me to box up and take it to a return center, but lord this thing is huge and beyond heavy. Not an option for me. What a waste :( This thing is silent!!!!!! I love it. I was worried it wouldn't work under my desk but as you can see, it does. I sit at my computer for several hours a day and needed something to keep some movement, and this does the trick. It was as simple as installing 4 screws and it was ready to go. The price scared me at first but I'm glad I did it. ... show more

1 year later update: I've upgraded to 4 stars. It's still working great and still under my desk. I'm a runner, but I've had a lot of injuries lately and was trying to figure out what I could do that would be a little easier on the joints as I recovered. I stumbled across this as one of those "daily deals" and did a spontaneous buy and then later wondered if I made a terrible mistake, but thought I would give it a try anyway. As it turns out, this thing isn't bad (I'm spinning on it now as I type this). It didn't take long to put together - just a few screws and the screwdriver is included however the screwdriver is kinda worthless since it doesn't go deep enough and quickly stripped the screws. Using a real screwdriver, I was able to finish the assembly. The tension adjustment is easy to use, however I started right at the highest setting because there really isn't much tension on the thing at all. I put it under my home desk and use it whenever I'm doing desk work - it's surprising how much time I can spend on FB, emails, internet surfing or paying bills and the whole time I'll be spinning. It raises my heart rate to high 80's/low 90's - just barely into the fat burning zone for me, but it does warm me up and even gets a light sweat on me after about a 30 minutes spin. Because it is non-weight bearing, it's easy on my joints. If I wear my Fitbit on my ankle, it even counts it as steps. It's not a huge calorie burner, but because I will often use it for at least an hour at at time, it might burn 100 calories. I wish it could be converted to be used upright and standing, too. I've found that since you have to sit, the height of the chair is very important for comfort, spinning at the correct angle and keeping the thing from slipping. Also, the desk height can be a real problem (my knees hit the desk so I pulled it back and am stretching with my arms to reach my keyboard). At least it is quiet. So if you're looking for an easy way to spin that will get your legs moving and warm you up or if you feel guilty sitting at a desk doing nothing but moving your fingers and eyeballs, this might be good for you, but it isn't a big calorie burner or cardiac workout. ... show more
