    • No major issues, but questionable welds

Maybe I got a bad batch, but the welds in mine had some burn through (meaning there are small pockets of air where the weld was too hot) and the welded joint is "bulging" at a questionable angle. I haven't had any problems, and they do hold either of my two sedans up. It's also possible those "bulges" are intended as part of the structural design, though I can't tell from product images alone. But I think to be safe I might just buy jack stands in person in the future so I can get a clear visual inspection before purchasing. I realize I'm being a bit nitpicky here, but one failure could cost me my life.. So I'm sorry to say that I expect the manufacturer to "convince me" I can absolutely trust their product in the case of things like these. And otherwise minor visual issues do bug me quite a lot. ... show more

Had to change my oil and couldn't find my good jack. I was forced to use the crappy scissor jack that came with the car. I put these underneath the car frame with enough clearance to fit comfortably. I'm a big guy, so I had to get the scissor jack all the way up to fit. While I was trying to break the nut on the oil tank. Heard a long creek, and then a snap. Car dropped several centimeters and I was sure I was dead. I didn't even have time to be afraid. All I thought was "I'm dead." Then the support jacks grabbed the frame where I had placed them under. I scrambled out from underneath as fast as I could. Saw my life flash before my eyes. They supported about 3 tons dropped on them suddenly. I think they'll support whatever you need. Had to borrow a friend's car and go to the local car shop for a new jack, but that's another story. Well worth your money. 100%. And I'd like to thank the company that makes em. Had this for 5 years. Always use it as back up in case my Jack malfunctions. Sure enough it did, had I not had these under my car, not sure if I would be leaving this review right now. Please Please always use a jack stand if you are going to be doing any work under the car. Thanks
