so i made the mistake of ordering the wrong case and there was a return fee to ship it back or could drive 45 min to the closest Amazon return location as far as the case itself very well made and sturdy i have another one for my 5 and 6 year olds and the tablets are still working perfectly despite the kids putting them through hell for over a year ... show more

Three years ago we bought two kindle fire for kids which came with these cases, my granddaughter still has her purple one in mint condition even though it has been thrown just about anywhere. My grandson throws, drops and chews on just about anything, so a couple of month ago he had a melt down and broke the stand on his blue cover, we still don't know exactly how, however the he got progressively worse because he could not stand it up anymore. He has Autism so he processes things a bit differently. So the other day we spent several hours trying to find the same cover/color again but could not, so he finally decided the red would be ok. Because I was purchasing these cases for the Kindle Fire 7 tablets for my students to use, it was very important to me that the cases were sturdy. It was difficult for me to judge this just from the picture I saw on amazon. However, when they arrived, I was so amazed by how sturdy they were. At first I thought they were the wrong size for the tablets, but when I put the first tablet in I actually had to struggle to fit it it (that's how snug it was). I breathed a sigh of relief because I now feel comfortable that the tablets won't be damaged because of these cases. I ordered this at the same time I ordered the Fire Tablet from Amazon. This cover took about 2-3 weeks to come. However purchased as my grandson has one on his tablet. His little 2 year old brother stayed with us for a week and used the tablet with this case on it and he was NOT careful and the cover protected the tablet well for him dropping and throwing it. Bought this for my sons tablet and it works great. I think they fixed the speaker issue others were commenting about because it sounds fine. I'm constantly telling him to turn it down honestly. I do wish that it hap a screen protector as well though. I knew it didn't when I purchased it but after installing it the screen is the only left vulnerable on the tablet. Laying flat the screen wont hit the ground but if he dropped it perfectly onto something not flat (ex: Gravel) it could hit the screen. I bought tempered glass stick on protector as well so if it does happen it should crack that instead of screen. Hope this helps. ... show more
