  • Material collects significant dust
Size: 2-Pack (Magnum)
I like the concept of the lens cover; however, I had trouble keeping dust off the inside of the cap and as a result the cap transferred dust and dirt to my lens. I work in dusty environments, so this cap doesn't work well for me. I recently replaced it with the Polarpro cap. The Polarpro cap does not stay on as well; however, it is easier to clean the dust off. I am not suggesting people not buy the KUVRD Universal Lens Cap 2.0. I am just not able to effectively remove the dust and the cap does not meet my wants and needs in the environments I work in. I did not contact KUVRD to look for other solutions, so they may have ways to clean it. ... show more

  • Good idea, okay execution, terrible brand
Size: 2-Pack (Magnum)
First, these are sold as replacements for lens caps. They look pretty cool but they don't actually serve this function particularly well. - This is a stretchy rubber cover that's not going to protect your lens if anything strikes it. So, at best it goes over the existing lens cap. This is actually pretty helpful to keep more of the lens body safe from dings and scrapes, but a lenscoat type product will protect the entire lens. This product also tends to roll up and partially come off lenses if they're, say, in a backpack. - The same clinginess that will keep this lens cover from coming off fully and getting lost like normal lenscaps makes it hard to remove - nowhere near as fast as a normal lens cap and hard to do one-handed. So, again,. more of a travel or storage product than a lens cap replacement, and it's a bit pricey for just that function. Finally, interacting with this brand is a huge turn-off. Check out their social media - the tone is super bro-y and obnoxious, and they tear down any critical comments. Unlike so many of the cool, small companies innovating for photographers, this isn't the kind of company I feel good supporting. ... show more

  • Didn't even last one two week trip
Size: 2-Pack (Magnum)
I ordered these to use during a holiday trip to New Zealand to make it easier, lighter to carry and as a potentially better way of keeping my lenses covered. They didn't last beyond three days before one experienced a rip. And I wasn't even doing any significant hiking. At that point only street photography in Auckland, landscapes in Hobbiton and on the road trip to Wellington. I ended up buying a replacement lens cap as a spare just so I could be assured I would have something to cover the lens in case it fully ripped and could no longer function. I contacted kuvrd.com seeking a replacement through their "lifetime replacement" guarantee. Crickets has been the response.. For the cost, I would advise you avoid. ... show more

  • Not a Big Fan of This Thing -- Way Overpriced, Poor Protection
I bought a pair of the "micro" size covers for my 55mm lens for $25. I have to say, I'm not at all impressed with this product. The rubber is very thin and they are very difficult to put on my 55mm lens even those the "micro" version says it starts with lens at 52mm in size! The level of protection this thin silicone rubber gives you is minimal. You will certainly want to keep you lens cap on with them which, for many, is the whole reason they bought these rubber covers in the first place. Avoid this lens product because it doesn't protect very well and isn't worth anything close to even the discounted price of $25 (and is an extraordinary ripoff for the standard price $35!). Frankly, I don't think this product will survive for long, it's that bad. ... show more

  • Great functionality and space saving all in one little rubber package!
I will say, I have been using the Kurvd Lens Caps since the first iteration came out. These lens covers come in so handy on shoots, especially since I shoot a lot of sports. So not having to worry about the plastic lens caps bopping around in my pocket is great. So when they came out with Series 2 in the different sizes i had to try these out as well. The Micro's fit great on my under 76mm lenses and I use the First Run Universal fit on my others. Plan on trying the new Macro's soon! I can literally pull the lens cover off, stuff it in my pocket (it folds up nicely due to the material) and then pull it out and put it over the lens in less than 3 seconds if needed. These hold up well to any kind of dust etc. (I would recommend not putting them in a pocket inside out due to pocket lint etc. No need to get that on your lenses, so always keep them right side out). The "X" on the cover is now white as well but it can be colored in any color you like to differentiate your lenses by sight. I use blue on my Sony lenses. Since picking up the series 2's I now have them as the front and back covers on all my Sony lenses in my kit. Bang up job, Kurvd! I am a fan for life! Ill throw up a video of them in action soon! ... show more

  • Awesome lens solution
Great solution for harsh environments such as the beach, desert, anywhere with a lot of moisture etc. I like the simplicity of the product, the fact that I can fold it and shove it anywhere into my bag, pockets, etc. and the fact that you can color code it with a sharpie. I don’t know that I would trust it to protect my lenses from drops, it seems too thin to do much for impacts to the glass, but it is definitely a step in the right direction for increased lens protection. I would definitely buy this product again, and recommend it to any serious photographer. ... show more

  • Version 2 is twice as good.
I ordered the originals about a year ago and with the release of v2, I’ve since got myself some micros back in February (2019). I’ve enjoyed using them. They protect the lens well and when off fit easily in my pocket and the ‘in-between-spaces’ of my camera bags. The first version would go over my 72mm lenses although a bit tight. There were manageable but a little inconvenient at the same time. Now Version 2 is stretchier and stronger. The micros fit perfectly over the rear ends of my lenses and nice and snug on the front glass of my 24-70mm f2.8 and 24mm f/1.4. Ive changed all my hard plastic traditional lens caps over to KUVRD products and use the micros whereever I go and end up shooting. ... show more

  • Solves an issue created by large lenses whose lens caps will not stay on.
Size: 8-pack (Bundle)
I have about 8 large, medium format lenses from the former Soviet Union. They have large front elements, and this leaves them prone to scratching while in the bag. And while in the bag, the lens caps never stay in place. This rubber covers are easy attach and they stay attached. They also protect the lens overall by providing a flexible surface that prevents clacking with other lenses. There are two sizes; the large one goes on the front, the other on the back. ... show more
