It features 20-inch wheels as well as front and rear fenders. The coaster brake stops by pedaling backwards, which is an easy and safe way for children to learn to ride. Sized for young riders from 3 feet, 2-inches to 4 feet, 4-inches tall, it's a great choice for many riding environments -- by the beach or anywhere else on a paved path. The Urban Girl is designed just like Firmstrong's bikes for older riders with a classic, curvy cruiser design and a durable 13-inch steel frame. The 20-inch aluminum wheels feature 2.125-inch wide white-wall balloon tires that roll smooth and easy as well as cushion the bumps as you ride over them freely. The wide, oversized cruiser seat completes your comfort with dual springs that help make the ride soft and cushy. Both the seat and the handlebars can be adjusted for height and tilt to properly fit the rider. It also features a chain guard to protect pant cuffs from getting caught in the chain and wide cruiser bike handlebars with rubber grips. The bike is shipped 80 percent assembled.     • Solution to Installing Training Wheels On This Bike

While Firmstong's web site says this bike will accept training wheels (20 inch), that's not correct out of the box. The rear axle is too short to be able to add them. Firmstrong was little help in trying to find a solution to this problem, so I came up with my own. I also purchased the Wald training wheel set at the same time I purchased this bike. The training wheel supports are 3/8 inch thick and the support bracket is about 1/8 inch thick. I took the rear axle nut to the hardware store and was able to determine that the size and thread count for the rear axle is 3/8 inch 24 TPI (fine threads.) Armed with this information I bought a 1 inch coupling nut of the same size and thread count (its one inch long and open at both ends) along with a 3/4 inch hex head bolt of the same size and thread count, plus two lock washers. To install the training wheels I removed the original nut and washer from the axle and put a lock washer, the coupling nut, the training wheel bracket, a locking washer and the hex head bolt. Because of the length of the coupling nut, I wasn't able to install the training wheel horizontal supports, but the whole assembly is tight enough that it shouldn't be an issue. It should be sufficient for my granddaughter to learn to ride safely. As an alternative, the 3/8 inch axle extensions sold on Amazon should work if they have the same 24 TPI thread count. ... show more

She loved her new bike and rides it all the time in their safe neighborhood. This was a warehouse find and it had NEVER been out of the box. Price was less than 1/2 of cost today! No issues at all, except instructions are not great. You may need to use an online bike assembly video. It was probably returned because it was needing to be assembled. We love the bike! It's well made and great looking. Comfortable to ride. Ordering process was very easy and shipping was surprisingly quick. The only issue was lack of instruction. It is obvious where different parts go since the assembly was only required for front tire, fenders, handlebars, pedals and seat. Pay attention that the handlebars are turned around, probably the only info we found that was extremely important to getting things in place. Make sure you have Allen Wrenches too. My daughter loves her new bike. We did a few customer things like adding a basket and cup holder. Its sturdy and seems to be well built. It is heavy because of the all steel frame. We were missing a number of screws and customer service doesn't exist. My daughter absolutely loves this bike. It's super cute and we put it together fairly easily. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because some of the peices came dirty. Not just wipe off with a wet towel dirty. It had sticky stuff on it that was really difficult to get off.
